I was too young to remember the game but our PE teacher at Carlton PS had it on film and played it one time when it was too wet to play footy at school and I can still remember rewinding it when Nicholls and Southby got crunched - I went home and told my older brother about it, he gave Richmond two barrels on what he thought about them and its one of the most animated I have ever seen him (Southby was his hero), my brother was only 4 yo older than me but he instilled into me that other than Collingwood the Tiges were the side next to hate the most

I vividly remember the 1980 Qual Final when Richmond crunched us on the scoreboard and on the field, my hero Sheldon was Ko'd by Landy who cost himself a premiership medallion when he got rubbed out for the 1980 flag

1982 was the next time they really challenged us, we beat them twice in the H&A and then they touched us up in the 2nd Semi - but revenge was sweet in the GF

Yep I was still at primary school but I learnt to hate Richmond and still do

Lets stick it right up them

I'm originally a Bendigo boy too Bomba. You know the sort of thing ... (although I was 'Square boy and I think Southby was Sandhurst ... he's still "one of us").
The awful thing was that we didn't return fire that day. I don't think anyone really knows why. I always hated Richmond more than anyone after that.

Of course that was before I really understood Essendon*.

Same Same.

Hate them since 69... Then 1973 changed me forever and 1980... Can't forgive em.
We missed 4 in a row.
Kouta injury in 2000....so names like Balme Knights and Bartlett just infuriate me...yep they're all Tigers players...then came the @#$%&! Bombers.

Skin the Tigers this week FFS

I think it's a pretty safe bet to say all THREE will turn up.

No way!
That's just to radical a departure from last time we played them a couple of weeks ago.
You'd have to be a genius to pick it.
Or pretending to be one.

KB's gonna go sick this week, I don't really mind it, like someone mentioned here a while ago, it's all a rating ploy, ala the old Lou Richards and Jack Dyer tactics. Brings back memories actually lol.

Those stats are a perfect reflection of our game style.
No surprise at all IMHO.

KB's a withered old prune, and his contributions have ruined many rules of the game. But the whole Richmond/Carlton thing is all in fun.

That can't be right :sly:

I can't see why they don't just stagger the on sale times for the games. QF1 at 9am, QF2 at 10am, EF1 at 11am, EF2 at 12pm etc.

God bless smartphones, seems as though the mobile site isn't being visited that much, just tried that and secured seats right away, Southern Stand Level 1 Category 4 happy with that as its not too pricey for ground level seats.
