I am nowhere near as good as Maher. He's done very well hosting the Blue Print. Can't think of anyone better other than Tim Lane. So I'm voting Maher.

Dunno about Andy, but ya gotta question what sorta guy would allow his son to be used as a pin cushion and say he was happy about it.What sort of father would be happy to allow his son to be part of a pharmacuetical experiment with no idea of the future consequences...............Watson is as sick a puppie as Hird and they dont come sicker than that.

youre better verbs... really

Mickstar.. you have to understand... Watson may have been part of a needle program himself back in the eighties...
They always looked much bigger than our guys....
He may have only known that special Essendon* bastardisation program.. so he might not see anything wrong with it...

Bit like boarding school boys and soldiers...

just the norm .. so no big deal...

Correct " Big S ".He obviously doesnt see anything wrong with it.Thats why i am saying he is one hell of a sick puppie......................where i disagree is that i actually that it IS a big deal that a father is happy to allow that to happen to his own son.Sick beyond belief for mine.

the footy club and the Watson name in the AFL is more important for him.
Its a culture.

Its footy culture....

used to be booze ups now its drug parties and celebrity wannabies for many of them.
In StKildas case they play with their dicks and take photos..and screw around with under age groupies

Timmy doesnt see anything wrong with it.. he understands it.
Other parents wouldnt feel the same way... one parents might be a teacher.. or a piano player.. a nurse even

This has a long way to play out... and when the infractions come.. things will change.

Watson is the club appointed spokesperson ...of course he doesnt get asked meaningful questions by Andrew Maher.. Andrew Maher drops to his knees and blows Timmy and Timmys propaganda sheet as written up for him by Little.

Maher is a disgrace!!!

He can never be taken seriously....

I hope hes reading this...i know he does read Carlton unofficial forums...

Hope he doesnt skip threads that are close to home for him...

All it took was 5 people tweeting about it last month for him to ditch his twitter account. Reckon he stays clear of these things...

Some changes I'd make...

1) Replace Andrew Maher with Sam Lane (or an affable female co-host). Despite him sh***ing the bed on SEN re the whole supplements saga, he brings nothing to the table ... err, desk, that couldn't be achieved by the cardboard Marc Murphy in the Visy Park lobby.

2) Revamp the set - something more 'Carlton', something more warm/less sterile. Throw in a couple of Premiership Cups, team photos, jumpers - think 'On The Couch meets Percy's Bar'.

3) Get the thing on Fox Footy (I figure the cast of The Hangar going to get all a little 'B-List' next year) - this would also require the show to be more regular, rather than ad-hoc.

4) Work more closely with/integrate the sponsors - talk about a missed opportunity to leverage sponsorship.

5) Supplement it with some pre-records that relate to the issues in question - be it an interview with Malthouse, one of the players/coaches/staff/supporters.

We shouldn't accept the Blue Print in its current form. For **** sake, shouldn't we be aiming to be the best across every area of the club?

Not only has he embarassed himself with his support of the drugcheats, he's not even a charismatic host. He's just a dork

Has the charisma of a spoon.

Why he still has hosting gigs on 10 and Foxtel is beyond me.

But yeah, the Essendon* stuff aside, the club needs a more eloquent and charismatic mouthpiece.

I think he tries to appear intelligent, not sure who he's fooling.

Talks too much about golf also, but that's another story.

Well, it looks like I'm the only serious nomination at this point, which I'm still yet to decide if I accept. I'm definitely less eloquent and charismatic than Maher, of lower intellect and much less photogenic. Still, I'll give it some thought and let you guys know.

Shelley Ware does a good job on Marngrook. Would be worth considering as a co-host. Thinking outside the square, I think Dean Jones (ex-cricketer) would do a good job. Loves the Blues, follows religiously, is good on TV.

2) Revamp the set - something more 'Carlton', something more warm/less sterile. Throw in a couple of Premiership Cups, team photos, jumpers - think 'On The Couch meets Percy's Bar'.

Agreed. How about bringing Andy Lee into the mix? (Contingent on trading Shaun Hampson.. ) I mean - we want people to watch this thing right?

3) Get the thing on Fox Footy (I figure the cast of The Hangar going to get all a little 'B-List' next year) - this would also require the show to be more regular, rather than ad-hoc.

Bit hamstrung in that regard. The show would have to be produced by McGuire Media, so we'd just be handing a lot of unnecessary cash over to Eddie. I'd keep it in website format for now. E-mail YouTube link to members the following day.

4) Work more closely with/integrate the sponsors - talk about a missed opportunity to leverage sponsorship.

No-brainer...has been suggested

5) Supplement it with some pre-records that relate to the issues in question - be it an interview with Malthouse, one of the players/coaches/staff/supporters.

Yep...and 'A trip down memory lane' with Tony De Bolfo...promote the Blueseum. Tony already does the podcast - just video the interview and edit.

We shouldn't accept the Blue Print in its current form. For **** sake, shouldn't we be aiming to be the best across every area of the club?

They'll be reviewing it soon. Should send some suggestions in. I'll get on it.
