We should be well up the ladder ... prelim was a must ... he has pretty much stuffed it up (several of his coaching performances have been diabolical) ... but where there is life there is hope. Unless we make a prelim it is a big FAT FAIL.

If we do ... I will be there clapping the super duper tricky micky coaching performance ... you can bet on it.

Go BLUES.

Do you realise how ridiculous you've started to sound?

Commentators and Umpire Pannell aren't helping the replay viewing experience that's for sure.

Tell us if you think Ablett deserved his 1 Brownlow vote - cost Selwood a share of the medal.

Robbo just spiflicated Ablett early in the last quarter, just about the best thing Robbo did all year.

Sorry, second best thing he's done - sucked Ablett into knocking him down late in the last quarter for a reversed free kick.

..watched the replay as well, krooz was monstering everyone in his path that day.. [not just his young opposition rucks either]

..loved the robbo bump, he lined up a few players this season.. ..and for all his exuberance, he managed to hit 'em 'legally' too..

I'd have given him 2 votes, to widen the gap.
I'd have been sick if Selwood won a Brownlow, in the manner he currently plays.

..supposedly the 'ducking for a high free' is under the microscope this off-season rule review.. ..for player's own benefit/safety as much as the 'look' of it.. ..though would be a rule interpretation that would have a huge grey area.. .... ..also, would stop the number of free's our own skipper gets, he's usually 2nd after cats skipper in regards to getting those free's.. ..though admittedly murphos is a bit shorter..

Selwood is the master.

..he has that shoulder shrug thing timed to perfection.. ..however, i don't see it as cheating.. ..opposition needs to tackle lower, there's nothing wrong with the guy trying to shake free of the incoming tackle, it's why you need to tackle lower, arms straight out at your own shoulder height will always run the risk of going/sliding high.. ..also need to tackle 'through' the body, tackle with intent to take them to ground..

Thought Curnow's game on him was the best anyone had on Ablett all year, both in terms of nullifying his influence (you wouldn't see too many other games where Ablett picked up that many kicks deep in defence), and also getting a fair share of it himself.

Didn't deserve the vote.

..yes and no.. ..certainly was hindered by curnow, but it's like the games where judd would get a vote.. ..even with gazza's limited influence, to still be of some influence under all that close attention with little support from those around you, can still be deserving of 1 vote.. ..judd used to play with guys hanging off him all the time, not every game was a champ game but to be of some influence week after week with guys hanging off you is a huge effort..

Funny, i watched the game last night too.
I went to the game so it was good to see it again on TV.
Those commentators were very annoying with their love of Ablett. I dont think he deserved a brownlow vote, Curnow did a good job on him.
As a matter of interest did Curnow get votes in the B and F for that game?
Boy we dominated that game and should have won by 15 goals, need to work on our goal kicking this off season.
Sad to watch Eddie, going to miss him.

Rule needs to be changed to account for where the tackle first makes contact with the opponent. If the initial contact is below the shoulder and then is rolled upwards by his opponent's arm, play on.

..too dangerous, ppl will start swinging arms to hit the shoulder and then continue up to the head..
