Didn't really notice them last night and I'm surprised by how upset people here are about it.

they were there.. but they only fed off our inabilities.

The shitiest part was when they just love the bogan Jono Brown and called the hit to the jaw a rib tickler...jaw ...... rib... hurt.... tickle..
Brown .. a relic like the 70's ocker cricket team ......commentators relics too...

Thats all!!!

Have watched the last quarter and a half. Will watch the whole game today at some point.

Not capitalising on our dominance and poor conversion is very frustrating. We have made very hard work these past 2 games in what should of been comfortable wins.

That being said, I'll take winning ugly over losing every damn time.

Oh yeh, that's one thing that needs to improve overnight, conversion.

It was embarrassing not being able to convert from set shots and having our captain taking the risk to pass off to Robbo inside 50 rather than take the shot himself.

Goal-kicking is all between the ears. Ask any of the greatest goal kickers. Players line up often thinking 'What if I miss this', when they should be thinking 'I'm going to kick this'. Sounds like a crock but have heard them say it countless times.

Maybe we can get Carlton legend Peter McKenna down the club to help out.

u guys whinge alot.....lots of positives for me that i have not seen us do.

1.kicking it to a forward who is leading.
2. we were much cleaner with the ball
3. our application for the ball was much better then im use to
4 we won away which is always a good thing
5. lucas cacchia, bell played well

honestly we have played one really shit game this year and i will take a 6-4 record
i think we will only get better as the year goes on.

Could Kruezer be any more blue collar?

0.7 last two weeks !!

He's not a good enough kick to play forward.

Interesting MM said they almost played Levi. Would he have played in place of or in addition to Keuezer?? That'd surely be too top heavy if latter??

I think the question is whether he can become a good kick. He started as a great dead eye dick, so he can find that formula again. No excuse..its between the ears.

He has set shots for goal....he needs to get his technique, formula...right!!!!

Yes he can.

Look it all depends on expectations

If aiming to finish 6th to 10th your spot on

If aim is 1 to 5 then miles off

Pleased to be saying this:

BROCK!!

IMO Brocks best game for the Bluebaggers. I know he did some good stuff (amongst a fragile bunch) last year, but this was special. I was hoping we would win so I could sing his praises. Great all round game. Went hard for the contested ball and won well instead of holding it in pretending to try and get rid of it, or running (peeling) away from the contest when we needed him in there. He brought other players into the game.

SIMMO!!

So glad to see he got his rhythm back. Turned on the tricks by foot. Really smart again. Made some space for himself and the 50-50 contests went his way because he was smarter. Best game IMO since 2011. Really glad to see that.

WARNOCK

We won everything except the centre clearances. Warnock is important to at least nullify the opposition ruckman but I feel he's changed his style since the 2011 final. Its a really strange technique where he gets under the ball to take the space and then taps. I don't know what we should do about the rucks but if Warnock got a few more marks and possessions he'd be GOLD.

CURNOW

How does this guy pinch the ball out of the oppositions hands time after time. Houdini. Really impressed with Curnow. Plays within his means. Gives it off to a player in better position and didn't thror the ball on boot till he knew he had it going to a team mate by hand or foot.

JAMMO, HENDO, WAITE

Great marking by these guys forward and back. Nuff said. KEY POSTS.

GIBBS

All class...yeah yeah...could've done more, but its what he does...imo he may be the classiest footy player we've got, and maybe in the comp. He's smart, balanced...a real footy player...and versatile.

ROBBO!!

Critical to the team, and he and Kreuzer IMO have a future forward as they had 8 shots at goal most set shots from marks. Very important with Betts, Yarran and Garlett on the ground for crumbs. Add Waite...and its good.

ARMFIELD

Always been a fan. Great to read TCers becoming converts and Army fans. Huge heart. Rearely loses a battle and kicks straight.....Versatile.

LUCAS

Speed kills...well done on kicking straight. That was his best game ever IMO. Room for improvement. Really happy for him. Great first goal.

JUDD MURPHY

Great running game...not their best but Judds 2nd half pure WILL to WIN. I really like the way Murphy makes space and gets around his opponent.

BELL, CACHIA, CURNOW and BOOTSMA belong and will get better over the years.

TACKLING has improved collectively, but this plus improvement with our SHEPHERDING should see us become a top 4 team as long as we think RUTHLESS, think we WILL kick the goals, think about our TEAM mates...then we can be a real force...its all between the ears.

CARRAZZO and YARRAN next week, followed by BETSY for the Essendon* game...we are not out of the race for a top 4 spot. We have plenty of improvement to come. If we just improve our kicking for GOAL..we can be anything.

Really rapt with the comeback in the second half...just 5.13 would have been nicer if it was 13.5 as it should've been. The players know that.

We are in the 8.

2 games from 4th with 13 games to go......can happen....gotta get better

Noted that as well. Wasn't even a better position. Selfish.

No, I'd hope not. Clumsy but nothing pointy executed I.e. elbow. Just a sloppy block.

I don't know about that, if it was a sloppy block or Sheperd you would have expected Brown's right arm to make contact, if you look at a replay of it, Brown turns around and looks at Jamo the swings the left arm, looked pretty deliberate to me & should be looked at.

Well said Bondi. Only thing I would add....if we kicked 20-13 and not 13-20, we would all be very content today.
Yep still a bit to do but I can see it.....surely others can as well. Three major positives;
Krooz is looking more and more like a forward who can support Waite.
Midfield rotations are increasing with our major ball players not being involved as much.
We are winning without our best small forward and tagger!

We've won 5 out of the last 6. That is good form no matter how you look at it.
After the win next week against the Giants, it'll be 6 out of the last 7 and all the losses have been close where we could have won it.
We have been in every single game this year and you can't be too disappointed, a win's a win's a win.

Having said that, practice kicking in front of the big sticks this week plz MM!

then we will see where at in the next 2 games.......

its not kicking practice we need.. its some zen factor we need to learn.

they can kick but they crumble under pressure.

you cant simulate match conditions and pressure ....

its a case of having guys that dont do the right things on the field.. and that leads to "i must not miss... i must not miss"....which then in our case leads to having a nice piece of apple crumble....

If everyone in the side can be relied on to do the correct things in a team environment more often ... we wouldnt be in those mental state situations.

Its clearly a case of whats going on in the minds on the individuals we believe and hope will deliver us a flag.

We should be recruiting good players, Synbad, regardless of what they are like or where they play. I think a problem we've had is that when we are recruiting, we think too much about our last loss. It's too insular. Don't panic and don't think too much about where you are going to fit kids into the side as if they are going to be playing next week. It backfires.

Make more changes, trade some players and get a healthy influx of kids and players from other clubs, players that you want on your list simply because you like what they have to offer a club. We've been making minimal changes, relying too much on chance but also over-thinking where we can plug the players into the current set up. You build a side around a healthy list, not the other way around.
