I'd prefer to drop Simpson and leave Cachia in

Bondi....shhhhh...you might scare us.

We never seem to win these 'must win' games.

We beat them twice last year, both times without Jamo. Wow, didn't realise that. The last time they beat us in H&A was round 2 2010, when Thornton got towelled by Brown in the last quarter. This time we can triple team him between Hendo, Jamo and White.

We had a similar opportunity against a supposed inferior opposition only 9 days ago. We all know how that turned out.

Until we can demonstrate that we can win these sorts of games consistently and string more than 4 wins together, I will never be confident leading in to the games.

Reckon the extra small makes sense this week given the time between games and state of Brisbane's talls. Jamo to Brown, White takes Lisle, Bootsma on Staker. Play Hendo forward.

Only sticking point is whether Kreuzer or Warnock have four quarters of rucking in them. I'd argue probably not.

Bit of a smokey. Rowe in to play on Brown, has played a few in defence in 2's this season. Jamo to Staker & White on Lisle.

Releases Henderson forward w Waite & Casboult who replaces Warnock. If they go smaller Collins a chance in defence and release Simmo back into midfield.

Kruezer takes on L'Berger. Has the athleticism.

Stop Moloney (Curnow) & Hanley (Armfield) and we win.

Bootsma on a wing.

What about Watson? He's been in reasonable form for NB

Can't see us bringing in an extra tall after 3 games in 2 weeks. Two huge gambles in Kreuzer playing lone ruck with questions over his match fitness and bringing in Rowe after one game in the twos as a defender, to play on Brown who has essentially done nothing all year anyway.

Casboult for Warnock by itself isn't too bad, but again, who makes way if you go with the extra runner? Bootsma and White were pretty good, and can't see them resting Jamison. Like Armfield for Hanley. Would rather Curnow go to Redden after he towelled Essendon* up. Would back our mids to at least break even with Moloney at the stoppages, or at least use it better.

I would love to see Hendo stay up forward. Just add so much as a forward and think he and Waite would pose big problems for brions defenders with Merrett. Perhaps adding Watson will allow that to occur?

Why do we need an extra defender?

Jamison / Henderson / White / at a stretch Bootsma, Walker and Gibbs.

For Brown who's averaging less than 2 goals a game so far this year, Lisle/resting ruckman, and Brent Staker? Reckon we cover them comfortably without having to add Watson.

My suggestion is to move Hendo up the ground for the whole game and perhaps replacing him with another tall defensive KP

Not crazy if it gives better balance and structure to side.

I think Warnock has been good and will get better.

It's so much about picking the best side to win, the opposition and the conditions. Also, sides are really developing line ups that are more and more mobile. It's a reason why Laidler isn't getting a game.

When Waite went off and Kruezer or Warnock went forward we looked slow and predictable.

Do you think Jamison is more mobile than Laidler? Jamison basically plays in the one position and moves up the ground with the forward he is covering. Laidler has shown us what a great defender he is ... No excuse for the MC not selecting him. We will probably lose him at years end and there will be a big finger pointing at MM and the MC if that happens.

..a ruck for casboult..?.. .... ..if Knockers' plays as 1st ruck, i don't see what bolt brings to the game that krooz doesn't.. ..krooz is getting his marking back, is [usually] a better kick, tackles even stronger, better with his passes by foot and hand, fitter, smarter.. .... ..and is by far a better back-up ruck option..

I think Laidler's papers are stamped. Can't see him playing.

Poppycock, Laidler will be back in the team as soon as he starts stringing good games together.

No way known MM would have stamped his papers without a good look at him in the seniors. Plenty still on the MC that remembers him prior to his knee popping for the second time.

I'd say Laidler has confidence issues in his body.

Glad that you have such confidence in MM ... (this is supposed to be sarcastic).

..it's simple, if laids could match his 2011 form he'd be playing, or close to selection.. ..however, post knee troubles he hasnt even been close to his 2011 form.. ..if he cant regain that form, he's not seniors worthy.. .... ..unfortunate but true..
