A meathead dinosaur who's played more games than everyone who posts on this forum put together. Reckon he'd have a better feel for what goes on out on the ground than you or I.

Dinosaur Kevin Bartlett played more and he reckons the meathead dinosaur Jono Brown is wrong!!!...
so im right and youre wrong with your logic a bout who plays how most games being right..........

Bartlett, a noted hard man of the competition.

That was not your argument. Your argument was so had the right to comment on the back of games played in the afl.
Brown having played less games than Bartlett has no right to comment.
Not only that but he doesn't make the rules.

Not just that but according to you the only purple that can have an opinion are players who have played the game no matter how stupid they are.

Putting words into peoples' mouths a specialty.

Brown is a current player. He knows how players feel about the bump and whether it's something players feel they can still execute. You and I are nuffies on a footy forum who have no idea what it's like to play right now so Brown's thoughts on the bump are infinitely more valid than ours. Kevin Bartlett is a strawman who was around during the Big Bang if Brown is a dinosaur.

..everyone has their own agenda, the bump is as alive as it always has been.. ..you could never line up a player and knock his head off.. ..these days it will get you suspended, those days it got you belted behind play.. .... ..there was always 'justice' dished out for bumps that went too agro.. ..accidental bumps to the head usually aren't penalised, then or now..

I think the rules committee need to be refreshed, KB needs to be put to pasture.. I can understand Richmond sacking him as coach, he would have progressively made the club his own. get rid of him FFS

KB is on the rules committee and played heaps of games... you havent.. you cant comment ....

the bump is ok as long as a head is not contacted.

thats because if you look at the gridiron... youd find there are a heap of legal disputes over head high hits ....

and opening the afl up for this kind of litigation on top of everything else thats going on atm will destroy the big fish in the small pond.

its not that hard to get your head around .....

and jono brown IS a dinosaur of the game..... and very irelevant when it comes to the legalities and medical implications cos he has had a few and he is now a vegetable

problem with brown is he is not a great thinker.. so better not ask him...

hes as dumb as two bricks... he used to be as dumb as one brick... but that only served to make him dumb as two bricks.

no need to ask 'jono' brown his career is over.. so the game going forward wont make any difference to him

see i see it different in here.. i find alot of people are unable to think past the obvious and thats tiresome.

the game is different
its national
18 teams
no more neighbourhood grounds
footy on all weekends
draft
salary cap and no form fours

what makes people think u can hit people in the head even if its accidental???

thats whats tiresome to me.... the complete lack of thought one encounters even in here....(not just about this)

there might be some accidental head hits still but surely theyre down on the past... which just has to be good for footballers wellbeing

jono brown a meathead and at the end of his career might think its a bad thing.. hes already got his 3 flags and a few million from the game.. but thats not everybody.... just cos he spent months out of the game being foolish putting his heath at risk.. and selling his team mates up the creek and god knows what the long term repercussions are for him and his family.....

he doesnt need to be taken seriously!!!...

and if eddie hot someone in the head even accidently its a penalty...
so players know the only time u bump and know u wont get a penalty is if youre 100% sure no head high contact...

hard to understand???

yeah its tiresome!!!!

Will this finish off this debate????

The NFL even use helmets for protection....

http://www.pri.org/stories/arts-enterta ... 12846.html

Tiresome is really the lack of thought alot of people show to the game.. the club... etc....

It might not be too long our players are dressed up like this.....

its just a different @#$%&! gae than the one we used to know.. and its changing for a bunch of different r easons.

Just like u now must wear a seatbelt when in the car.. but thirty years ago u didnt...

You're a fan of what Bartlett brings to the table?

Good for you.

Do you think hungry alone is driving this?
I would think it's on the advice of some people more intelligent than jonno brown interested in the game surviving.

Don't kid yourself and don't listen to what a knucklehead like brown thinks... Is just media crap to have this game ticking over in the news and away from the real issues facing this sport.
If jonno brown and the media cared about the sport they would be pointing out the real challenges this sport is facing in the real world---- not some populist thinking for the sheep's diet.

Reality >>>>>>>>>>> other stuff.

How does the league cope with a big class action or work safety probe ?
Oh I know...... Waivers that jonno brown wrote up himself

Just goes to show you don't need to play one game of football to understand the world.... Better than ajonno brown commentary on where the game should be going.

You don't even know the context of Brown's comment.
Weird argument bringing Bartlett into it and now workplace safety.

Tell me again how helmets have reduced concussions in the NFL

I never said they reduced it,
I said they use them and they're still being sued by a class action and that we have no safeguards at all in our sport.

Not following?

Does it matter on what context brown spoke?

If so how does it matter?

He is just a knucklehead who doesn't understand the gravity of where things are today..... Yes I know he has played football in the afl and I haven't..... That's my point about his comment. It's dumb! Like him!

You surely are not mixing up jonno the footballer and jonno the creative intellect are you?

Are you?
