It sucks for Carlton. We were desperate and we've been desperate ever since. It was so predictable.

Does it matter? Another version of Lucas with 150 odd games on top!!

Not even close to true.

Gibbs would have been very handy tonight.
Oh...and Waite! :banghead:

HAMMER IS A GUN CHF.

thank goodness Mick listened to me and brought back Warnock... too bad he had to wait till big K broke his hand...

Were not going anywhere fast... but im pretty sure.. a new home will be searched for Lucas... the guy has got to be close to the softest footballer every played for my club.
Send him back to WA..... Peel Thunder beckons!!!

I have been a Carlton fan right thru the dark years or the 2000s, but this is the most ashamed I've ever been to support this club. That was piss weak. From the moment their was some push & shove before the first bounce I knew we were screwed. Mentally and physically weak & it's easy to blame some individuals, but the problem is throughout the whole squad. Then the truly tough players are so dumb as dog shit that it negates their positive qualities anyway. Absolutely gutted. I'll wake up tomorrow and start to believe that Malthouse is changing our culture and it will take time, but right now I see a soft team that crumbles under pressure, even if it's only pressure from spuds like the Saints had out there tonight.

This pretty well sums it up for me. How many times over recent years have we only started to show something when we are well behind? When the game is gone? The pressure is off and we rattle home to record an "honorable" loss. Early when the game is there to be won we choke. I don't give a rats about how well we played over the last quarter and a bit, we were disgraceful when the game was up for grabs. All the last quarter showed was that St Kilda are a pretty ordinary side. A pretty ordinary side who showed us what endeavour, hard work, intensity and commitment can do.

How often have Murphy and Simpson missed crucial goals over the years? Murphy had to kick that goal on half time, it was a classic "captains goal". The shot was never close.

Yarran and Kreuzer shouldn't have played, this isn't just in hindsight on my part, how could they have been right. I couldn't believe Jamo wasn't rested last week either. As for playing three ruckman...

Apparently MM has torn a strip of Waite, good. I hope he does the same to a hell of a lot of others too.

Trade Kreuzer if he has any value at seasons end. Don't fall into the trap of holding onto him like we did with Whitnall and to a lesser extent Fevola (although we got lucky with what we ended up getting).. Warnock proved again he is our best ruckman. By far.

Thornton, too.

Mick inherited this list. Give him his term. He will make changes. We really do lack physicality though. You don't develop toughness you recruit it.

Mistakes galore.
Lacked intent IMO

Can we just ignore this game or are these signs of heart ache ahead.

Cant just ignore this, prepare for another very disappointing season as we are not even close.
