Heard a snippet on the radio this morning about Waite but didn't quite catch what they were saying. An appeal perhaps?

I'd be surprised if we didn't challenge on the grounds that there wasn't sufficient force to warrant a report. His head may have made contact, but it wasn't a headbutt. It was more like a push with the head

I reckon Essendon* would pay for the appeal to get us back in the headlines for a day

Appealing would be 'enabling' him. Let him sit it out next to Kosi, Dumb and Dumber can sulk together

Silly stuff Jorrod. The good thing is, Jarod will learn from that. Next time he will lower his eyes.

How does Franklin get off for ripping Scott Thompson's head off but Waite gets a week for making no contact?

The report and finding was frivolous - and unbelievable in the context of Kosi's penalty but why the f*** did Waite even do something like that ....DUMB I'll be quiet now

Franklin gets off every time. It's a rule at the MRP.

You're all missing the big picture. Waite isn't a Rhodes Scholar. If he get's off this time, it'll just teach him that he isn't doing anything wrong. ie when he kicked the Richmond player in the crown jewels. He's already had his let off. I agree with the previous post that he and Kosi need to sit together Monday wearing dunce hats.

FMD I just saw a replay of the incident ..... Lol..... You've got be joking... I'd challenge it... What a farcical decision, on the basis of the finding ie intentional +low impact +high contact , a meaningful kiss would incur the same result ie 1 week ..... GTFOhere ....

Under MRP guidelines (intentional-high contact-low impact) this incident would incur a week suspension

95% of the time I think there's no point challenging MRP. Ignoring any anger I have towards him, this is one of the 5% of cases where the decision was blatantly wrong and I reckon the tribunal would agree, challenge it.

It's pointless appealling a decision unless there is new or additional information...

Lucky he didn't throw a jumper punch!!

That might be true for an appeal, but this would just be challenging the MRP finding

In a way I'm glad he misses a week. Stupidity shouldn't go unpunished.

You're right Buzz, but the fool never learns, just highlights what I said in the Melbourne pre match thread, we cannot build a forward line around Waite, he has to be the icing on the cake (when & if he plays) we have to develop one of the kids to be the big marking forward.

AFL Tribunal will not sit tonight after all players chose to accept the penalties offered by the Match Review Panel from the weekend's game.

KB this morning said that we should have appealed on the basis of insufficent force. But who trusts the tribunal?

We should have challenged and pleaded insanity.
