Fair enough, but I was just pointing out that we seem to have dodged a bullet so far this year as far as LTIs are concerned unlike previous seasons.

Honestly, don't think it was reportable but god damn it was a stupid thing to do. Especially being a leader and minutes in to his first AFL game after another lengthy absence.

Unless we can be absolutely confident of getting him cleared on 'insufficient force' or other grounds, take the week and move on. Not worth the risk of making it 2 like Freo did with Fyfe last week.

Is my 8 year old sons favourite player, even with all the footy he has missed. He is literally angry at Waite. 'Dad, Waite is so stupid to of done that. I'm really angry with him. I hate him now' he said to me tonight. While perhaps a touch dramatic, I think we all get the sentiment.

Waite got a week for being a dumb shit.........

Wether he deserved it or not is irrelevant......... he shouldn't have even THOUGHT of doing such a stupid thing.

He needs a week to thing about how dumb he is. Let him watch from the sidelines.....as a fit player........ and WISH he was out there.

..unless the Krooz is extra fit in the thumb, i'd give him another week off.. .... ..broke the thumb in the worst way, and it's only a good surgery that halved the rehab time, but if we plays next week it's the fastest return possible.. ..why rush it, especially a ruck's thumb.. ..especially one we may even try as a KPF.. ..and especially when we don't have a dire ruck need either..

..if there's any ???s on Yazz's fitness, rest him..

..i agree that even with a few stars out, we should still smash them.. ..they have a couple of their stars out too, and with 2 good saints players out, thats half their quota of good players.. ..they are shizen, and losing to them as they currently are would mean it's microwave time..

imo, we have a rucking dilemma.

Warnock has done everything you could want in the ruck. Krueze can't can't play up forward, he's calamitous whenever he tries.

I'd be picking 206 ahead of Kreuzer at this point. Hampson up front is serviceable. He looked good before his op, and yesterday he looked good again. Either way, Hammer or Casboult at FF is > Kruezer's best day up front.

....but if Krooz is being played as a perm KPF, would he be used as a deep fwd, or further up the ground to bring into play his endurance and natural ball hunting instincts..?.. ..Krooz doesn't have natural KPF smarts, but his footy nous as an onballer is first class.. ..Hammer doesn't have much footy nous at all, and the Boult's fwd craft has potential but he's still a ways off it.. ..his contested marking, and natural nastiness is a plus..

..but, if we can engineer a working combo of Knockers and Krooz in the ruck, we'd go a long way.. ....i still think a combo of 2 1st rucks is best, its just much harder to organise these days, but if you can pull it off you're very dangerous..

Kruz is listed as five week out still ??

That's odd. Unless Kreuzer's thumb got infected yesterday, he's very close.

Maybe that should have been Graham, as he's not listed.
O'Keeffe didn't make it to that list and neither did Temay.

I've been wondering if Temay would last to May

FRom the coach's email...

Quote:
We do have at our disposal a couple of players putting pressure on Jaryd - such as Andrew Carrazzo who returns either next week or the week after, Bryce Gibbs and Matthew Kreuzer who are also set to resume, along with others playing some pretty good footy at VFL level – but fellows like Jaryd have responded in the best possible way in the roles that they’ve been delegated.

We don't need Waite - he would have been better than a few of our players ATM, but not many. We need Carrazzo back and Kreuz so we can drop Hammer.

If Yazz's hammy is still tight Monday morning he should be given a week off - Docklands will twang it if it's close to going.

Armfield is the key to this game. He and Murphy are the only ones who play this ground well.

I'm not as confident about this game as other posters on here.
We will be without Waite, probably Gibbs, Kreuzer and Yarran.
Sure the Saints will be without Hayes and Gilbert however they were competitive against Collingwood last week and likewise against Sydney and Richmond. And being at Etihad doesn't fill me with confidence either.

Yazz will be right to do, especially considering its an 8 day turnaround between games.
Was only taken off as a precaution according to an interview with Hammer and Davey Ellard on SEN yesterday.

There's always fireworks against these bogans, so we have to make sure that the players keep their cool and not give away any silly frees, particularly whoever plays on the Tiprat.

Jamo has been in great form, so Im backing him to do the job on Roo. Just need our other defenders to take care of their small forwards.
