A little more than one phonecall BG. There was another call + the changes that some of us have been calling for for some time are actually going to happening/happening. Coutts given the arse, Kernahan to step aside, improvements to the things that are important to me. Of course there are things I still don't agree with. The business model over-reliance on EGM's/Pratt family/Mathieson family...but that's the chosen path by the powers that be and they're well and truly down it...well out of our control.

So I could just be a grumpy old bastard and do what i did in 2012 and just spend the equivalent in memberships on merchandise from the shop...but that doesn't achieve much other than add a few hundred bucks to a figure totaling no more than $2 million. They've proven to me that they're not a totally closed shop. They'll get my ideas, free of charge and if they use them - great - if not, so be it. But they're listening. In return, I'll buy a membership.

The reality of it is is that none of us will ever have everything exactly how we want it with the footy club - but as long as they're moving in the right direction, and the right people are getting involved, they'll have my support. And they should have yours. I love the club, but the club doesn't have to love me - it just has to respect me...and they've promised to call (and not post any photos of us together on facebook).

I may have threatened to leave them for a cheap fling with Gold Coast (and a cooler), but let's face it - we're all in a monogamous relationship with Carlton and even though I yell and scream at them from time to time, I'm as loyal as a puppy.
