I rate him highly and really liked what he achieved at the doggies with what he had.
If we are doing a coaching review - I hope we have a really good hard look at him as well.

Doesn't Coach talls well. Often got ouTcoached in finals. No but better than ratten

How can you coach talls, when you don't have any.

So will Port be calling MM tonight?

I think they are too long term & move from Melbourne not what he wants.

Now if Neeld was in same position? Can they make finals in next 3 years?

McCartney? -unfinished business but too long term?

Blues or bust for him is my prediction

MM was on Adelaide radio being given a 'mock' phone call by Graham Cornes re the Port Adelaide role next year. No, No and No to all answers but when questioned on what it would take for him to coach Port next year his answer was interesting..." a massive earthquake to move Adelaide closer to Melbourne "

Are we going to change our name to Collingwood-lite or maybe our colours to grey and white?

With all the ex-Collingwood boys in the coaches box, we should just wear the Collingwood away jumper and no-one will know the difference. What a pathetic insignificant club we have become. Truly sad if true.

 ...

I still cannot get over how the "home" jumper looks like the port adelaide traditional one and the "away" jumper is all of Collingwood for 100 years!!!! :banghead:

You can't buy all that experience Malthouse has, and leaving on bad terms with Collingwood/eddie is some pretty juicy motivation to get Carlton dwarfing the pies again.

Unlike when Pagan came to Carlton and had to recruit 437 retreads, who were subsequently splashed all over the back page of the herald sun, Malthouse has a raft of high draft picks including Judd to work with.

The club is in a precarious position and I am not sure I want someone who has no runs on the board. Mick has a proven record for rebuilding a club, more than once.

60 is a big number but Mick doesn't have to do any hard labour, is in great shape and as I said earlier the fire in the belly must be burning out of control......(Thanks eddie!)

All previous understudies of Malthouse. Yes he's very good at pushing up his previous players and assistant coaches. Legacy and all that.
Its always about Mick and always will be. If we have secured him as Synbad states (and I dont doubt him), we'll continue to be the brainless sheep we've been over the past decade. Nothing changes.
Starstruck flower with zero understanding of an uncompromised and untainted process.

He actually states Terry Wallace as his number 1 choice for Port.

This had to be a troll by Malthouse.

I'd say it's a reflection on his thoughts on Port, rather than any praise of Wallace.

Btw I saw eade in a spin class this morning and had a chat. Nice bloke. Said it will be a coaching merry go round this year , went as far as saying some will even rise out of nowhere. Malthouse already making decisions with carlton playing list

Intersting. Did he mean senior or assistants as I would have thought everyone bar Ratten would be fairly safe.

And excuse my ignorance, but what is a spin class? Considering you saw Eade there I'm guessing media training for all Collingwood employees?.....

As much as I am on the fence re our coaching sitch ... I think if Malthouse came to the blues, I'd be pretty excited.

Our list, his knowledge and experience and ability to give guys a specific job and demand accountability. Plus whatever personnel moves he made.

It'd be hard not to be excited, tbh ...

He did seem to be doing that during the 3AW broadcast on Saturday.
Definitely had me wondering.
