The Carlton glass ceiling...

And had to draft more tall defenders.

Although didn't mind Austin, Laidler & Duigan are much better....positive recruiting you would have though, in this instance.

Can't see us beating the Dawks. Worried about further humiliation and a physical beating as usual.

Id be happy to see a few of their players knocked out, with Jordan Lewis topping the list. Closely followed by Roughhead, Sewell, Puopolo, Hodge. Yeah and throw Mitchell and Buddy in as well, although the latter two probably dont deserve it.

We should load up our side with nuff nuffs from the NB and have them come our swinging from the first bounce. Guarantee their match payments through their suspensions with a little extra under-the-table bonus.

Sick of their shit.

Predicting a similar result to today but we won't lose by 10goals probably 6-7 goals. Mainly because our defensive unit has a bit of heart.

Stop playing injured players. The excuse of excessive injuries and them being forced to play is rubbish. A 100% rookie or first year player would give a better showing that the current players who have injury clouds over them.

When it comes to a development strategy of our young players, Ratten has learnt from his mentor Parkin.
Look at Parko's drafting 95-99
Ratten (like Parko) has coached for the now and for his survival over the last three years which is why our list is so exposed at AFL level
Only our injuries have forced his hand with Bootsma and Watson. Collingwood just churn them out each week
Playing Judd and Kruezer injured is proof that he needs wins more than players longevity
As I've said, he has by far the flakiest CV prior to getting the top gig of any other coach
His treatment of Mark Austin was reprehensible
Delisting Setanta with Waite's injury history and Bower's form was dumb
Making Collins the sub after his best game for Carlton was unimaginable man-management stupidity

I'm overTly confident.

Regardless of in's and out's etc history says Hawthorn enjoy flat track bullying bottom to middle of the road sides, but have struggled against the Top 2 or 3 sides.

As we fall into the first category, I'm not confident.

Rated this kid - the breakout game he had in 2009 against the aints at Etihad when we lost by 9 points on a Friday night. I knew that night we had a potential future CHB.
Never thought he got continuity at Carlton in terms of playing seniors, particularly last year when Jamo went down.
He was rookied at WB and is playing regular senior football - thanks to James Fantasia (ex crow recruiter, now WB) who saw this kid at draft age. He slipped to us at pick 36 because of a broken leg throughout the draft year. Was considered the best defender at the time of the draft, if not for his broken leg, hence why he slid to us.

Look, this game... the result... it's kinda not as important as the contest.

more than any other team the hawks bully the crap out of us, and we fold like little bitches. What I want to see are 22 pairs of big, fat manly hairy aggots on display, poking out the side of a pair of carlton footy shorts. Get angry. grow a pair. Every single player needs to get testicular in a MASSIVE way.

And being a Friday, they need to be MASSIVE.

NUTS.

It's all about NUTS.

Don't get me started on Austin
Lost our CHB...bad decision.

Hawks will come out to bully, as they do with us.
Every team nowdays uses the bullying tactic to beat Carlton.

We've got better in the last 2 weeks, and imo, shoulda coulda woulda won them too.
We have a week's break and we're hurting. All of us, players coaches, supporters.
But the wheels are turning our way recently. The freefall hopefully has ended, but have been flaky.

At least have everyone baback except Murphy. Just when Carrots rroved his value.
Kreuzer and Judd resting injuries for 2 weeks will do wonders for their battle against the Hawks.
And if a miracle happens, Waite's back is fine to go.

We have plenty to fight for, just as have all middle of the road teams.
Gotta win, but they might beat us to submission.

We did come back with 4 points last year after being 77 points behind.
They were the scalp and hoodoo we wanted to get off our back this year.
We just might do a Port on them.
Are our players prepared to spill blood?
That's what has to happen because class alone will not against the bullies.

Hopefully Laidler and Waite and even Thornton are fit to return.
Those needing a run in the Northern Blues can next week.

I'm angry after my weekend in Melbourne. Angry at Carlton.
I have not lacked confidence in my team like I am right now since 2009.
Surely we have to go forwards and closer to a win at some stage.

Just got to get that nut first and dish it out to our outside players. Quickly.
Gotta be precise. Judd should tag Lewis.
