Guys, please dont go blaming Brock. He was far from our worst tonight!

Brock could have had 465 possessions and kicked 56.12 and people on here would still be blaming him.

The club needs an overhaul - from board level (mainly the prez) to the boot studder. Coaching, recruiting, development, playing list and high performance have let us down in some way shape or form. When injuries arise, the great clubs are able to cover for these so that the players that come in are already ingrained in the gameplan and play their role effectively.
And the CEO? Football Manager? They should be made accountable, too.
All our losses this year have been heavy losses, something not seen since 2007!!!
The attention this week will be on North, but 'sharks' should be circling around Visy Park, too!!

Spot on. The decision makers at the club need to fully understand why this is and take appropriate action.

While it may be a cop put, the fact is if he has lost the players, the coach has to go. Or at least some serious change needs to take place.

I'm still trying to come to terms with this, assuming that he has lost them. Seemed they were pro ratten last year. What has happened?

How did Aaron Joseph ever get a contract extension last time around? He had the same deficiencies then that he has now...the same deficiencies that cost us enormously. He had a hand in countless Port goals tonight.

Our list management/drafting is all over the shop...

Don't give me more ammunition, you know what my pet subject is!

Won't happen. Injuries and lack of confidence is all that is wrong. Ask Brett Ratten.

Blueman - are you there?

I think he was misquoted ........ it should have been "The way we fell away at the end of the 1st quarter, all the 2nd, all the 3rd and all the 4th quarters was the most disappointing part of the night"

disgraceful effort.

absolutely no structure going forward. bombed it long to chaplin who sat back on his own most of the night and picked off 7-8 forward 50 entries.
went quick when we were meant to go slow, went slow when we were meant to go quick
took the corridor when we were meant to go wide went wide when we were meant to take the corridor
tackles that didnt stick
targets that were missed
players walking, yes walking around seemingly lost
players (yarran i think the main one) that are playing but clearly arent right
simpson tagging pearce? wtf is that? we have joseph, armfield and co for those roles
guys like joseph in the side before lucas
guys like joseph on the list while guys like austin cement chb at an opposition club
absolutely no answer to the opposition crowding stoppages - every week since Essendon* bar melbourne this has happened

so many things wrong right now!

seasons shot

Yep. I have said it for months.

The definition of "insanity"

Instead of Armfield, AJ, Curnow, Bower others should be used

My issues are with the second tier players that have gone backwards in the last three years onstead of forwards.

Russell, Bower, Joseph and those types of players. Even Curnow and Duigan (Although he m,ay have excuses) have gone backwards.

Jeff Garlett has been nearly non existent.
Bryce gibbs is being flower around by the coaching staff because they don't know what to really do with him.

As a club we are not moving forward we are treading water I think we will miss the 8 altogether or at best scrape into the bottom half of it.

Games against Richmond and Collingwood in the coming months maybe complete turnarounds from Round 1 and 3. I was pessimistic after the pre season but after beating Collingwood thought we may be in with a small chance at it considering the eveness of it all but not now. Something is drastically wrong at the club well it at least seems that way.

Be interesting to see what transpires this week for the Blues tonight for me was worse then the 2002-2007 years because then we never had the list and there was no expectations. Tonight may just have been the lowest point of the last decade for us and that's saying something.

Don't know.

Maybe they are just not that into football anymore.

In the perfect world you would only play two of Brock ellard Curnow collins aj bower and armfield . Can't expect to win too often with them all in at once.

What's jamo Simpson walker garlett and Gibbs excuse? No ticker.

maybe Ratten's desire to make players flexible for a number of positions has confused them as to what their actual on fleld role is. i know SFA about coaching, but its a thought that just crossed my mind.

Brock ellard Curnow collins aj bower and armfield - what does it say about our drafting/development that these 'depth' players have major deficiencies...you look at West Coast and Collingwood's depth players and they may have youth as an excuse but other than that a lot of them can play. They enter the team and look as though they have 'it'....ours come in and show us there are serious issues when it comes to recruitment/development.
