With the talls we have in Hendo, Bower, Laidler Thornton it's not inconceivable that Jammo could get 3/4 of a game against the pies.

You would think that if Jamo gets the nod, one of Thornton or Bower would have to make way...maybe not though

No need to rush jamo in against the Lions.
He isnt a must.
The defence looked ok with Bower and Hendo and T Bird back there.

Let him have the extra week or two.
Its a long season and one thing Jamo has proven is that he is not durable.

Keep rusty in and Lucas on the bench again.
He did a wonderful Fasolo impersonation.

Rubbish statement. If Jamison pulls up ok from today he will walk straight back into the side on Thurs night.

How is that in the realm of ridiculousness that you seem to hold dominion over?

... sorry, that should have been 'vortex of vapidity'.

If they are serious about taking a long term view of the season then I don't think there should be any changes.

Assuming that then I think Jamo would benefit from another VFL game in Round 3 as well. I would consider Duigan to be a better chance of playing against the Filth.

Once both are fit then it makes for very interesting selection choices in the back half. I am hoping that Bower continues to claim a spot. I do not see any trouble with Bower, Jamo, Henderson & Laidler all playing and in fact think it would be our best setup along wth Yaz, Tuohy, Armfield, Gibbs & Scotland rotating through.

It would definitely squeeze JR out of the side and when Walker returns probably T-Bird. (I think that means we field 23 players !)

If we want Duigan and Jamo to be up and about to play against the pies they really have to come in this week as The Northern blues have a bye
It would be a big call to bring in both when they have hardly played all summer

Agree here... bring in Jamo this week if he is fit to play.... we need him to have a run under his belt before the Pies... Jamo at 60 % is better than JR at 80 %

Yep, i'd like to see Jamo back given the VFL bye. If there was not a bye I would feel differently but he will need the run prior to the Pies game. Russell is the obvious candidate to give way with Thornton spending more time filling Walker's role.

I can't see Duigan coming in for two reasons: 1) Nobody deserves to lose their spot. 2) Bringing in two relatively underdone players is a bit too much.

Russell anyone? As soon as he left the ground, our whole team kicked into gear and worked.

..i'd go with no change, i'd also think that Lucas should be a starter, so he needs to swap with another.. ..i'd consider JR.. ..yes i kn ow ppl say he needs time to get confidence, but so do others.. ..we now have players pushing to get starting spots.. ..it's not like a few years back where players get 'gifted' games to find form etc etc..

I bit unfair of you to pose that question, Jim.
If anyone knows about rubbish statements, it's Roy.

Won't be happy if Lucas is sub again. He probably didn't get as much game time as he deserved last (should have been in for the final instead of Davies imo) Now he has had a really solid preseason and was sub last week, with only 20 minutes or so he took his chance and proved something. Deserves a full game. I would consider making Russell the sub so he can come on fresh when everyone else is fatigued and give him a chance to make a similar impact late in the game. If we have a decent lead I would look to bring him on mid way through the third quarter

Doesn't mean he's in the team necessarily, but he's a good chance I suppose.
