Some are selfish or selfless.
Coach's don't like to believe their star players can't make a difference partially injured.
There are a multitude of factures that play in this department especially around finals.
One of the biggest is the pressure and guilt of when they look at their team mates face knowing that they would like them out there with them because they knew how important they are to the side.
It does other give players around them more confidence even if they cannot perform to standard.

MICHAEL Jamison will play in the VFL next week in a bold bid to push for selection in Carlton's premiership season opener just five days later.
