After watching the shutdown job Touhy did on Ash Mcgrath last week - I think he maybe the perfect match up for Le Cras

Le Cras plays to deep for Yarren and Armfield has struggled and Russel has also had difficulties with him

We need someone to step up and shutdown these small forwards as they always give us a headache

Id say Duigan would be a perfect fit for LeCras.
Yaz to Shuey
Jamo to Kennedy

Duigan is not quick enough for Le Cras

If we put enough pressure on the ball carrier and stop it coming out quick it shouldn't be a problem

Thats the way BluesMuse. Stick to what we do well and dont go changing our gameplan out of fear of their forwards.
If it comes down to their forwards winning them the game then our system has failed in a number of other areas.

Win the clearances by applying loads of pressure and rotating numbers around the ball. Keep heat on the ball if we lose clearance
Get it in deep to our forward line and get it on the deck (if no mark) and lock it in.
From there they cant score and we can if we work hard. Score by taking it off them on the way out (repeat 50). Score by forward fifty stoppages and score on the initial entry. Pretty much what we have been doing all year.

Crap week to lose hammer up again big cox and nicnat - thank goodness for depth.

Eagles haven't beaten anyone this season and crumbled under Collingwood's pressure and Hawthorns small forwards.

As others have said stick to our gameplan and 6+ goal win by the Blues.

Relax and we could get a fright!

As everyone knows, our young guns (robbo, yarran, garlett) who arent the Number 1 draft pick young guns, are starting to fire. But the man that has impressed me most this season has been Duigan. For a first year player to have such a big impact on our defense is astonishing. Sure he may be 26, but he has just slotted in perfectly. Big props to our recruitment guys!

He's certainly added something. His last couple of weeks have been a bit less impressive, on Sunday he took his eyes of the ball and over ran it once and dropped two high balls that were difficult, but early on he was swallowing them.

Although the backline did ok I feel it's much more settled and structured with Laidler back there and i look forward to his return. Who he replaces will be the question.

Theres been improvement across the board, and you dont hear many people talking about us being reliant on Judd anymore like they were early in the season..

Thornton maybe, although I've got no complaints about T-Birds form at the moment... Just reckon he'd struggles a bit against the bigger bodied forwards

T-Bird doing team things and is really switched on (he has me confused)

And he's been very reliable taking good strong marks in dangerous areas.

over to you M.C.

I've been a big critic of Thornton in the past, but I'm the first to say he hasn't put a foot wrong so far this year. Still the occasional hint of poor body language, but on the whole he's been solid and played to team rules. That he can pinch hit forward makes him a valuable member of the 22, even with Laidler and Bower on the cusp. Perhaps the chance of finally being a part of some success has given him a new lease on life.

Ditto, but i give credit to him, hes stuck it out and worked his way back into the team after a shocking year last year!

I have been a critic of Thornton too, but you have to be fair and he has been playing pretty well and deserves to stay

Our depth is excellent.

I agree with Touhy on Le Cras. That is what Touhy has been picked for, he that tough back pocket that can match up on the McGrath's, Le Cras, Milnes etc.

Russell is now playing through the midfield and I cant see him going back.

Odds are Darling will be getting a rest so Jamo to Kennedy and Thornton to Lynch although I think Bower would be a better match up.

Duigan may well get Nicoski and Carrazzo may be an option on Shuey releasing Yarran. However I can see Worsfold putting someone (Hurn?) on Yarran in a defensive role.

206 needs to come in to assist taking on Cox and Nicnat.

Should be a good game!

I seem to remember both Le Cras and JK dominating in the Round 10 match last year, every time the ball went anywhere near them they took a mark and goaled. Our kicking last time kept them in it, hopefully that has since been remedied. Did Cox play that game? I remember NicNat being there though.

Only 4 players played Round 10 2010, that have since been delisted or moved on:
Joe Anderson
Sam Jacobs
Richard Hadley
Steven Browne
So not a great deal of difference this time around. Not playing Round 10 2010 were Jarrad Waite, Yarran and Hoops

No big losses there, with some big inclusions playing at the moment. We should smash the Weagles!

Surprised at the numerous calls to drop Tuohy. Watched the third qtr again the other night and thought he was more than solid.
