Don't worry, I've resigned.

They know who they are... you've been a champ Mrs C despite our occasional disagreements.

Removing the victim mentality suffering, disrespectful, self absorbed minority elements from the posting community would be pretty awesome too.

Thanks budzy, but this is another area I disagree with you about.

It is impossible to do the Moderating job to everyones satisfaction. How many members do we have? 3000? that's a lot of different personalities there.

Some of them are even in separate bodies.

A bit of self discipline would go a long way.

i disagree

Well you need to ask why there arent any rival supporters frequenting here as they were in the old TBV?

So many of the more colourful characters have left.

Banning TP was a joke
Ratten cant get up at a press coference an say Stevo sleeps with the light on.
We could and it was funny. And the cyclic arguments was only in a small % of TP
Yet it was banned probably because the club might have warned the site

That is sad and its bitten TC on the arse

That comment highlighted above is complete crap keogh. It would have been said at the time, as well, just as our reasons for closing TP at the time were given. Disagree with our decision by all means. But I can tell you, from a mods point of view, history has proved it was absolutely the correct decision to close TP. You obviously disagree, and I have no issue with that.

What I have issue with is you (and others) perpetuating this myth that the club was involved in our decision. If it gets said enough times someone might actually believe you. I want it stated clearly and unequivocally that the club had no contact with anyone at TC in regards to the mods decision to close down TalkingPlayers. Hopefully this fact might actually register with you this time.

Similarly, if you took the time to understand and listen to the advice of the mods at the time TP was closed you would recall we had no problems with discussions individual players taking place in the main forum - that is, we DID NOT at any stage say discussion on players was not welcome. There was no denial of freedom of speech just as there was no contact from anyone at the club.

Apologies for taking umbrage at your post, but that highlighted comment of yours that I highlighted is a total fabrication on your behalf and despite other mods already pulling you up on it I felt it needed to be said more forcefully.

Apart from that TalkingPlayers is back, and has been for some time now, and the mods have moved forward. I respectfully ask that you do the same in regards to this matter.

Its a shame that what started out as a pretty constructive well thought out thread is denigrating into shit finger pointing

Tolerance is a big thing.

If the Positive Petes could tolerate the Negative Nellies then we'd be well on our way to some positive change around here.

I've met many negative Carlton supporters in the flesh, and they are as boring and annoying as any in print.
Nobody wants to hang around with someone who's always complaining and whinging. They are draining and depressing. Most of the time, they just like to hear themselves talk/read their own posts.

Nobody minds criticism if its constructive or accurate but constant carping is insufferable.

So the answer is no, I don't want to tolerate them.

Well there is some of that and to be honest I would have considered myself a pessimistic sort of bloke until I discovered the forum world

There are some posters on here who I have a lot of respect for, who do see other sides of some posters that perhaps don't come across on the net. Perhaps they all aren't lost causes and just need a bit of a nudge to tone it down a bit. I don't know what the answer is on this one as I find it difficult to engage with some of those who go on and on, without stooping to their level by going on and on about them going on and on

I think this thread actually indicates that there is some positive change, because a number of relevant points have been raised. The differing viewpoints highlight just how difficult it is to get right.
