If Pagan knows it, then why does he keep playing him?

Deano - hit nail head!!

Wiggo is one of only a few rough nuts in the CFC team at the moment. Great tackler, does the 1%, and is hard at it. Pagan loves that kinda stuff.
Me thinks Pagan will always have a spot for him in the team. He is certainly no HACK....

No... Wiggo is not a rough nut.... he does not intimidate players. He does the 1% ok and is hard at it because he has limited ability, if he didnt do that he would not get a game. But a rough nut please.... Jonathon Brown would laugh at that one.

I have never seen Wiggo play a great game... or influence the result of a game. He's played 50+ games and apart from some hard at the ball attempts he hasn't been much chop for a 1st round draft pick. Been scratching me head why Pagan keeps playing this bloke but he'll get dropped eventually.

Wiggins at his best will only ever be an ordinary footballer. That is my point. Players like Walker, Betts or even Davies and Norman at their best will be able to tear a game apart... and they are they sort of players I want.... you know..... the one's that influence the game our way.... not Wiggins who turns it over too much and scares the shite out of me each time he gets the friggin ball.

Howhe is getting all these accolades for some of the good things he has done in the last few weeks is beyond me.... he should be doing that every friggin week.... oh shit he did a good pass to Lance on the left foot last week.... big deal... do it every week, stop the clangers and dont look so confused when you flower get the ball Wiggo.....

and when we can replace you, we will.... like in the next 4-6 weeks please Dennis

You can build a Premiership dynasty around Wiggins - bax you obviously just don't get it

No you cant....

You gotta be kiding. A premiership dynasty around the bloke that wears number 34?

Dynasty's are built around players like Voss, Black, Brown, Aker.... get my drift.... is Wiggo that good

I'm confussed, what don't I get. I think you just dont get it.

Wiggins is just a average player like most of the team but one of the toughest in the club, i guess no wonder we are not a great side.
Stats mean shit you could kick the ball kick to kick at the backline a few times get 3 kicks that count for shit just to make your stats look better.

Wiggins is bigger than the AFL. The game is stuggling to keep up with Wiggo. He has taken the game to stratospheres previously thought unattainable.

Was one of the few that could hold hid head up on Saturday. If there were 20 others who showed his endeavour then the losing margin would have been considerably smaller.

Elroy, you're not the sharpest tool in the shed. Wiggins is the best thing since sliced bread, and, whilst being no oil painting, is hotter than a house on fire.

You can keep up the anti-Wiggo sentiment until the cows come home, but it's like water off a duck's back to us.

We know the cream always rises to the top.

Deano,

I respect your views on Carlton, you know your stuff, but you have to stop finding excuses for blokes who simply ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Wiggins tries harder than any player and Carlton, I know that is what endears him to our supporters, but the output generated from his maximum effort is simply not AFL standard football.

Very happy to see Wiggo actually hit blokes with a few nice passes on the weekend, especially given the quality we exhibited Sat, it was the last thing I thought possible.

At least the bloke had a dig. More than alot of the others could lay claim to.

Mark,

Jon McCormick had a dig, so did Darren Hulme, and Anthony Franchina. Those guys busted a gut every time they played, but they weren't good enough.

Neither is Wiggins. And you know it.

Captain Optimistic and his team are glad that Wiggo is not Sam Cranage.

Elroy, I think you're barking up the wrong tree. Clearly Wiggins was among our better players - after Brown tore a new asshole from Bannister, who was it that kept Brown relatively quiet, playing deep in defence? Wiggins was solid which was a lot more than I can say for our so-called midfield.

In this respect, in particular, given this game, I believe you're wrong.

Elroy you are wrong. I have it on good authority from some of the posters here that Wiggins is the sort of player that premierships dynasty's are built on. He is great Wiggins. I thought he was a hack but I was also wrong. After his standout performance on the weekend I feel ashamed that I ever bagged the bloke. In 114 minutes he got 8 touches and turned over half of them. He is a star in the making.

Is bax yiddish for sarcasm?

Look, I don't think that sort of post is useful but you've picked the wrong game to denounce wiggins. He kept Brown far quieter than Bannister did and was only responsible for 1 goal, the free to Brown deep in the pocket. Everything else was a good effort. You can dislike players as much as you want, but please recognise the role Wiggins was given and the shellacking we were given and recognise the outcome. Wiggins was a solid player on Saturday.

Molesy, you really like Wiggins, don't you?

And from reading your articles I know that you really know your stuff.

Which is how I know that you know Wiggins isn't a "required" player. You know as well as I do he is, at this stage, at least a 75%-80% chance of being delisted at the end of the season.

I will never, and have never questioned his desire or endeavour, but he is genuinely out of place at AFL level, and you and Deano and everyone else are letting your attachment to a mediocre player (and we all do that, in honesty) cloud your otherwise sound judgement.
