1. Tasmanian (thoroughbred bitzer)

2. 1981 Grand Final on the TV swayed me from a Collingwood-loving sibling. In a family where everyone had a different team, it was timely intervention. Or, perhaps, it was the hand of God....

1. Italian.

2. I started with the Blues as my dad followed Carlton but my brother convinced me to follow Richmond for a while around '69. I can remember some friends in the neighbourhood convincing me to revert to my first love about 6 months later. I grew up in Brunswick and the kids in the neighbourhood were 60% Carlton, 20% Collingwood, 10% Roys and the other 10% were miscellaneous. No Bomber scum in those days...

Yes Prelim99, Flag 17 will be good at Papa Gino's as long as you don't drop your dacks again like in '95!

Do you give the opposition supporters curry at the games, Guru?

1- Pontian / Greek Macedonian

2- The Oldman is a Doggies supporter and had me recruited when i was a little tacker, but my earliest memories of the footy are from about 86 hence the flying doormat, the dominator, SOS and sticks showed me the light.

1.)Italian

2.)One day when I was flipping through an AFL Album in the early 90's, I said to myself which ever page I land on, this is the team I will barrack for. I landed on Carlton, man I was lucky. If I had of gone I or 2 pages over, I would have ended up barracking for those sods Essendon* or Collingwood.
Also, I was born in Kew, which most of you all probably know is like 1 suburb from Carlton.

1. papou disagrees(strongly) but i call myself an Aussie, with a ethnic background of a greek cypriot. i was born here and this is my home. Cant stand the people at school who all jumped on the italian bandwagon after the world cup, apparently if you great grandmother married an italian man then your a full blooded sick italian.

2. Carlton suppoter since birth, no choice it was hammered in to me from an early age, carlton or out of the family. There was a 5 minute period where i was an Essendon* supporter, but that was for a chocolate bar i really wanted and my pappou was willing to buy it for me if i switched. Although i never actually was i am still disgraced to this day that i actually pretended to me and Essenscum supporter period of time

I agree with you 100%.
I can't stand those wankers who go around calling themselves wogs. Even if they are of that ethnic background, it's still not acceptable to do it.
Imagine if they called their grandmother a wog? Man, the first thing she'd do is slap their face that f*ckin hard.

Aussie, Dad came down in 1968 or so from Pommyland.

2 games really - 95 GF as a starter. 96-98 were pretty meh years, getting caught up in the Shitney Swans hype and going to a few of their games. Then came the 1999 PF. 8) Mum being an Essendon* supporter made it all the better.

I call myself a wog and Im from an ethnic background and it is not intended to offend anyone. Many people of non ethnic background call me and my mates wog to get us angry but we just laugh it off and say wog and proud so that they piss off. Sure when I say wog around my nonna she shakes her head but if she was around now she would do the same thing i do.

Because I'm from an Italian background, I nearly slaughtered a guy at school for being racist everytime we had a disagreement. Everytime, it would be, "O Pasta brain" and "Do you wank over pizza?" and crap like that. I had a go at him, he shit himself and wouldn't fight back. It was priceless

lol Im at a mainly italian school so only a few people shout stuff out like "go back to where you came from" and one girl who is really patriotic to italy started beating them up - she ended up being suspended so we have to be careful about what we do at my school.
