My dear old mate....I think you meant to say that it can't be Tony Bourke......Tony Bourke (199cm) was drafted in 1994 and given #40 guernsey when he made the list in 1995.....because of the durability of Harry Madden and also injury.....he didn't get to play a senior game with us till 1998.

He played 4 games in total.....1998-99.

Tony Lynn played 6 games for Brisbane in 1988, and was picked up by Carlton in 1994.....he played 27 games for us in the period 1994-96.

That photo we've established was taken in 1995....and besides.....that IS Tony Lynn in the pic !

That is a trap going on playing years.

You tricked us by only giving half the picture.

We want our money back. :-D

Is that Ben Harrison far right at the back? If that's his name...I think he went to Richmond or came from Richmond....something like that...

It looks like him......

Yeah I just saw his face and the name Ben Harrison came to me....I must have most of the players names ingrained in my head from that wonderful year.

Can't say I've ever heard of Shane Snibson though....

I only HAD half the picture mate....story of my life.... :-D

....and Deano....Ben Harrison played 2 games for us in 1995 (his first year)....he was cleared to Richmond where he played 74 games 1996-2000.....then to the Bulldogs
where he played 82 games 2001-2004.

You'd have to say that we should've hung onto him going on those stats.

OK.....the 1995 Grand Final against Geelong and we started the 3rd qtr. 40 points in front.....but they had Ablett and other great players....
so we had to try and bury them quickly.

Sticks got one; and then Diesel outmarked the much taller Chopper Handley near the boundary after a kick in from full back;
then went back and slotted it.....but an even better goal came soon after that.

The ball was hurriedly kicked from upfield intothe goalsquare and Diesel tried to juggle and drag in the mark with his left hand while Leigh
Colbert was hanging onto him face on.....something that's not tolerated today.

Colbert succeeded in getting Diesel to fallbackwards; spilling the ball underneath his body.....Colbert then fell on Diesel, pinning him to the
ground.....so far it was a mark....then at least two free kicks.

Epitomising the never say die spirit of Carlton that year; Diesel lifted Colbert off his body....grabbed the ball and semi stood up whilst Colbert was hanging onto him;
and kicked the ball through the goals.

Never was there a more inspiring goal kicked than that goal....it was Diesel's Glory Day.

Norm Smith Medal for being best on the ground in the Grand Final and.....5 goals as a opportunistic forward.....
from a Dual Centreman Brownlow Medallist......not a bad day's work!

I don't think the way Diesel had hold of Colberts jumper would be tolerated today either, Warbs :wink:

No..... but I do remember it well he was brilliant.

I dont think the way Diesel was robbed of a 3rd Brownlow Medal by those pack of "FLOWERS" that call themselves umpires in that game against Melbourne in 1993 should be tolerated either.

I always choose to refer to Diesel as a"

MORAL TRIPLE BROWNLOW MEDALLIST

Almost like Craig Lowndes is the Moral 2006 Australian Touring Car Champion.

:wink:

Thanks CK.....no one can take away our glories and our memories.

Are you on dial up?....the pics can take a while to load; even on ADSL.

That's good, 'cos it's a fair bit of work involved getting the stuff up onsite; and I would be disappointed if people weren't able to see them.
