IMHO, our forward line is too tall to have Charlie, Harry and TDK or Levi playing there with McGovern or Jack. IMHO, going forward the structure is better with Charlie as the key, TDK as the bail out option and McGovern as the 3rd tall and small forwards/resting mids making up the numbers.

Go back to that game against the Doggies where Charlie kicked a lazy 7, he was playing at Full Forward.
Harry McKay was at CHF and took 10 contested marks further up the ground including the connection on the wing from the backline.

No. Harry had 6 possessions, 1 contested mark and 1 tackle for 4 quarters of footy.

Not too interested in getting caught up in the cult of personality with respect to who should stay and go as far as the KPP stocks go.

To do otherwise just says we haven't learned our lesson from Jacobs/Warnock/Kreuzer/Hampson.

We took the easy route, picked the least fashionable, cheapest and most likely to leave (and probably got too emotionally invested in Hampson and Kreuzer), and made no effort to try and get the best deal for the list.

None of the KPPs on the list are untradeable compared to the others if a club come knocking with a too good to pass up offer. It's a nice luxury to have.

I'm sure it was the game vs the Doggies he took 10 marks.

Gosh, that was from top of my head. Better check.

That's right, not when Charlie kicked those 7.

Rnd 5 Apr 21, Charlie didn't play. 11 contested marks, 20 possessions to Harry 3 goals and we won.
We lost the game when Charlie kicked 7.

Harry just needs to improve his kicking by the look of things.
He could give it off to others, but if you're a KPF in range, you should take a shot.
If he is going to be a Levi type of kick, yes we need to improve on thaat.

I can't argue in favour of Harry to be disposed of knowing what he is capable of, but glad to see the option for trade up for discussion.
Who knows what we can get for him.

He's only turned 23.

I'm with you Galty on this.

Get us a small forward, an attacking HB andanother 2 seasoned class mids and I think we have what we need, including plenty of depth as the younguns develop.

Going to be very difficult as he is inherently very lazy.

Russell will have to work his magic (or whip).

Re Hogans Heroes... "vee hav vays of making him work"

Laconic or lazy or both.

Not sure what this means crusader?

Mindless promotion of the party line, no matter how wrong. Like a bot.

Interesting reminder last night - one of the reasons the West Coast forward line works is that Darling and Kennedy have played around 200 games together.

(Also, a good reminder that if your mids get beaten then it doesn't matter how good the forward line is.)

Harry has played about 40 games and Charlie around 60. But how many have they actually played together?

And have they had a winning midfield ?

Davies-Uniacke gets coaches' votes on the weekend. Andrew Brayshaw excellent again tonight.

Paddy Dow not playing after again getting <70% time on ground.

O'Brien can't get a game in this midfield.

Kennedy emergency again.

All going swimmingly.

Ripper goal.

High draft picks given a run on the ball - even Serong in his first year.

Not being hidden away.

Only Carlton high draft picks require 'patience' and 'are just kids'.

We regress our high draft picks whilst other clubs progress them.

Still had the numbers up, 7 is the most consecutively - twice.
