Trade him for Crows pick 10 and 28 they receive from Melbourne.

Go to the draft with picks 3, 10, 28 and 38 + Kennedy

Our midfield depth is poor. We need to rebuild it with talented youth from the draft through the draft. I'd be trying to get as many picks as possible. Can we get a early third rounder for Macreadie from the GC or GWS. Its going to be a long slow rebuild but we will get there.

Short term pain for long term gain.

GO BLUES!!

If this rebuild takes four years, Bolton won't be around to see it out.

Whys that?

You are delusional if you think we have a list that could play finals in two years.

All Bolton has to do is develop these kids over the next 2 to 3 years so long as we see improvement each year.

Next year will be as much as the same as this year, i'll cop that so long as we flood the list with good talent and have the right people developing them

We are not a destination club yet. We are 3 to 4 years form playing finals so why are we targeting 24+ year olds? They don't want to come to a club thats several year from playing finals especially when they have come from a club that hasn't played finals.

The BIG mistake the club made actually Andrew Mckay made was coming out at the start of the week saying we have interest in all these players. Just say we are going to build the list with as much talent as we can acquire and look forward to going to the draft to do this.

Now that we have missed out on all these players he linked us to, all of you will crack the sads.

Steven Trigg has been saying all year we will rebuild through the draft and will only consider trading picks if something extraordinary was available.

I can fault it plenty, but what's the point?

That supporters (and possibly management) shouldn't get ahead of themselves and assume we are trading for serious finals contention just yet perhaps?

Port and the Essendon**** both think they're closer than they actually are. Let them top up with a Rockliff and Smith. Will set them back long term.

Kennedy has nominated us, and the deal will get done. We will pick up another elite midfielder with pick 3. Everything is going according to plan.

Because, your suggestion that the club will accept 2 + another 4 years until Bolton delivers a competitive finals side (that's f***en 140+ games in the first lot of kids), is what's delusional. You're working off Richmond 1990's decade long youth policy there.

If we can just add Kennedy and Dow or LDU this year it would be a great result

All for it if (and only if) we can get him for a bargain.

And by bargain, it would have to mean not a trade pillaging nor a salary cap one.

With a side full of youngsters we led 13 games in the last quarter. All that with a decimated midfield.
With a fit Cripps and a bit more help in the midfield, another pre-season into our extremely young back 6, I could see us pushing for the 8 next year. Perhaps I'm an optimist but I have faith in our young blokes coming along quite a bit next year.

As for missing all of the players linked to us. Our main target (Kennedy) has nominated us.

Boyd was superb in the 2016 grand final.

Would get him for the right price. If we dropped from 3 to 11 (Bombers pick for Stringer) I'd seriously consider it. Dogs replace Boyd with Trengove.

On another note, I'm struggling to see how the Bombers will get these deals done. If it means trading themselves out of the 2018 draft, good.
