What a champ ! Uniting the club. Fans have joked about all the key words like reset, green shoots and unity but it seems we are all buying in (Doc Sherrin excluded).

Stay calm after our next loss.

Don't think I've said a bad word about the bloke...or perhaps you meant not buying in as in not buying a membership? Or not buying in on what the footy department is doing? (Neither would be correct btw)

I think 99% of Carlton supporters expected that Carlton would have to get their act together off-field before any on-field flow-on effect took place. That the reverse might take place is great...but there are still many problems off-field. There's no getting away from that - but this thread isn't about that - and among the plaudits for the likes of Bolton, Silvagni and co - Steven Trigg should also take some kudos.

Long way to go - but for those of us who are sitting out and watching from afar (for differing reasons I'm sure) - it's probably a good opportunity to engage and invite those back into the fold, not alienate further. Just my two cents.

I don't really like how Bolton speaks. Am loving the results though!

From a grass-roots supporter point of view, I'm not really sure what more they can do at present Doc. To me, it seems like you want something more.

What exactly could you contribute to the benefit of the CFC that entitles you to special treatment?

Good stuff. I was just having a laugh . Your drunken posts after some of our first wins made it sound like you thought those who celebrated wins were nuff nuffs.

Hence the probable cheap shots that people wouldn't make if they weren't so sure a 'I told you so'was coming if it all falls over.

I don't think he's talking about receiving special treatment.

I think he wants to see more improvement in our off field performance, which is fair enough. We've taken some steps forward, but there is a long way to go. Part of that is re-connecting with lapsed members like Doc and I. This may be where you're confused as to what he means. I don't think he expects a function at Crown in his honour, but a letter or phone call to lapsed members may see improvement in an area we struggle in.

The coaching groups good work doesn't fix the closed shop nature of the board, which has been my protest for years.

Brendon Bolton is an inspirational mentor, galvanizer and motivator he'll achieve more success that we've been accustom for many years.
Much credit goes to Silvani & Trigg too.
The transformation is just phenomenal.

Pretty much what Brad and Rexy said Jimm. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what the second line is about.

It pretty much flowed on from the first line, but if that's not your deal then please disregard

Ahh the old bitter and twisted lapsed members. Expecting the red carpet to be rolled out. Suck it up sunshine, and rejoin. But there again dont. We dont need conditional members.

Everyone's a conditional member, but if those holding out can't articulate their issues beyond 'let me tell you about the time I paid for an premium tour of Yankee Stadium', 'the board' and 'the vibe', what can anyone do about it?

Probably not the thread for this anyway
