Same as Barker...should have been canned years ago.
But Carlton promoted him.

when is Mckay gonna get canned?

seriously. the guy has been a part of the most miserable part of our history. Has been continually ineffectual and incompetent, yet his name never comes up as exiting stage right.

i want to see everyone currently holding down any kind of position in our club for over 2-3 years get sacked, and replaced.

this should be so much more than just a head-coaching search. everything must go. if the board won't fall on their sword, it's the least they can do for this club. a total clean out, no expense spared.

How about, don't let the head of the footy department undertake a review of his own flower footy department.

At least that = honesty and a genuine desire to improve.

Wow. I should totally try negotiating that into my own contract:

"Will conduct review of own performance, and award bonuses and contract extensions accordingly" :donk:

Ours is arguably the worst performing footy department in the past several years, ever since he was appointed as its head, and you're trying to justify him undertaking the review?

Was review about subordinates or about department as a whole? Important distinction

Worst case scenario, someone has poorly communicated the purpose of the review. The board and CEO have a constitutionally entrenched responsibility for the entire football club, so your entire debate is one of semantics and thus a moot point.

Why is that funny? I am asking a genuine question about the review. What were the terms?

If it was about revewing subordinates then McKay should be doing it. If it's about the entire football department he shouldn't be.

It's obvious that your attacking the person rather than discussing the issue. :?

Even if we accept that McKay is the right person to review the performance of his subordinates (a case can be made that even they should be reviewed by an unbiased third party who was not involved in their mentoring, direction, oversight, etc), I, like Psych, would like to know if McKay was given the task of reviewing the entire footy department, himself included.

Is that too much to ask jimmae?

I wouldn't of thought so. I still don't get the joke. :?

I honestly really have trouble understanding his comments and what his point is most of the time.

The Australian (granted Greg Denham) says Don Pyke - WCE tactic specialist is in the running.

Because what you're asking for is an audit...

No he isn't. Are we speaking a different language?

The question is about the terms for the review. Was it just for McKay subordinates or a review of the entire department. Is that too hard to ask?

When McKay is submitting a report of his own department, he is reporting back on his own performance, but not determining his own fate beyond the information in the report. The board and the CEO ultimately make the call so they'd be stupid to not do their own due diligence (not lazy or poor governance, down right @#$%&! stupid), and it's going to be difficult for him to fudge data that makes it look like he's doing a good job.

When you want someone to do it independent of those facets of the organisation, that is a departmental audit.

These are fundamental points that you shouldn't need me to explain if you can form the questions you're asking, unless you think McKay is some sort of idiot savant when it comes to concocting a conspiracy.

I'll ask again.

The question is about the terms for the review. Was it just for McKay subordinates or a review of the entire department.
