No team needs a weeks rest more than us. Just have to get through this week with a big fat W.

We (the vicitms of supporting Carlton) deserve one more feel good day at the footy.

we need another 20 21 tackles inside our F50 bring pressure we can not allow Willkie to take marks (15 against cats) so kemp bring that ball to ground at least

i got a strong feeling we got this one.

i will change my mind if the team selection is on the piss ... small and mobile, let the kids run and rest anyone who's even 60/40 or 70/30 for the 1st week of the finals.

Yep Braithy 100%. We leave a smaller young team in. I feel they have the hunger to do well. They are zippy and have good energy.

If we rush back injured players, i dont think they will bring the energy we need. Especially if they have niggles.

We go with a fit team.

Would be nice if the saints put more players away for post season surgery now.

What worked last week to change our fortunes were:

Pittonet playing aggressive and 8 clearances
Kemp negating McGovern and whilst at it, kicking 4
Young playing a good lockdown role in sync with weiters
Quote:
Cincottas
adds speed coming out in 2's from the HB line
Ollie Hollands playing HB Defense was great and gave us speed from HB.

Cincotta and Hollands on the HB line just gave us that x factor.

Add Saad to that, and there's our drive from defense.

Kemp may be required to cover for Gov that adds more speed from the backline.

Saints aren't that tall without Caminitti. Floating Marshall the big danger for 1 or 2 goals.

Did someone say speed is the weapon of the Saints?

I’m checking myself into the worry room. Reckon it has the potential to get ugly actually.

Can someone wake me if Freo loses? Thanks.

Can someone explain to me why Fantasia has to be rushed back in. What does he offer? What has he done that was so special when he has been in. Voss playing favs again. I would rather the young ones stay in but obviously they will be the 1st ones out.

And what happens if Saad, and Curnow get re-injured early and we play short again.

I dont get us. Our match committee doesnt trust young people.

He's possibly insurance if Durdin doesn't come up. Similar role.

voss talked earlier in the year that he loves fantasia's leadership. maybe with doc gone, we've lost a little direction and leadership?

the other thing is fantasia does selfless things, like his run and spread into space, not to get the ball but to spread the defense and run decoy. at the ground i really notice it.

i'm not sure we can risk playing little durdin. his ligament is screwed and that shoulder can pop out at any moment. he's off for offseason surgery at some point. razio running out the game, is probs better than taking a risk on durdin??

i like our team. fingers crossed we don't go all charlie-centric, and let charles work himself into the game. lower the eyes and find our targets.

hope young can step up again and work well with weiters. we look so much better at the back with another tall, spoiling defender.

I’d be very surprised if Charlie or Saad play.
And from the sounds of it, McGovern too.
I suspect Fantasia is listed either to cover for Durdin if he doesn’t get up or possibly Motlop.

Would rather a full game from Moir than Fantasia.

Voss has his favourites doesnt he ? Guess he really values the 5 possessions a game from Fantasia. And his friendship.

I want Lord and Binns to stay in too. Blah………….

Would rather go out swinging and get some exposure to the young ones than play injured players and lose them early on in the game.

Bloody hell wish St Kilda were not desperate and they rested players for the pre-season. They are a shit stain of a club - cant stand them.

They will do their best to make a statement and try and hurt us in the process. You watch.

I'm with you on Fantasia. Does the team things that people take for granted.

When he was at the Bombers, I thought he was just a show pony that kicked the odd flashy goal. It wasn't until he came to us I realised how unselfish he is.

Shepherding, bumping, dummy runs, even his ability to know when to get off a quick handball to keep the play moving. Rather than try to be a hero and hold onto the footy to see if he can have a shot, or get the I50/assist. He's a smart footballer.

Will Stocker get the role on Cripps? He did ok on Stewart last week.

I still reckon Steele will go one on one with Cripps, he has done ok on Cripps before - this will have a big play on the game.
