True but he doesn't use it. In the VFL he bursts from stoppages beautifully. Put him in the AFL and he handballs to the first person he sees. Whether they are under pressure on not. It's between his ears that he needs to improve. I've been one of Dows biggest supporters when most others had given up on him but the onus is on him. Play to your strengths or accept others will take your position.

Confidence and experience. It's coming

We've been saying that for 4 years. It's time to deliver.

Poor Development & Coaching and COVID. All came out in the review. This year it has changed and the improvement has been impressive

Meanwhile Cripps and Walsh try to draw man, fend off, and escape tackles after ignoring first options (not all the time fortunately)

Crows got their 3rd win in Rd6. Since then they have only beaten powerhouses, the WCE and Norf.

Old Carlton would turn up to this game in "no effort required to win" mode and get beaten.

You have.

My criticism is that he doesn't show off his breakaway speed in the VFL and usually he handballs to the first person he sees. Every now and then (not enough) he runs pass for the receive.

Improvement in our development and VFL opened up or are you saying Dow has improved?

He's played only one game in the AFL this year. How do you expect him to gain confidence in the AFL when you don't play him? Everyone else has been given multiple games. I just think he has huge upside. We would be crazy to let him wither away.

and so he should.

No Pittonet?

I came on to post I expect Pittonet to be selected to work on his form and match conditioning by playing against the best in the last 4 rounds before Finals:

Adelaide vs Reilly O'Brien

and Finalists we may face in Finals:

Brisbane vs Oscar McInerney, possibly McStay
Melbourne vs Gawn & Jackson
Collingwood vs Cox/Cameron and Grundy

That's a good work out before Finals, let alone building synergy with TDK, and TDK with KPF's.

Its time to stay the full dress rehearsal

Owies is a good in for this match as he should bring the enthusiasm if others haven't

So you're in effect saying Voss is crazy?

The coach clearly wasn't very taken by Dow's one and only showing this year. It was written on his face if you ask me.

I am with BV on this one. Dow needs to control his own destiny. If you get another opportunity, don't hesitate young man, when you get the ball (presumably at stoppages) utilise your ability to break away from stoppages and utilise your ability to burn opponents who are chasing you, and take the game on.

A footballer with his traits needs to take the game on, else what is the point?

I said "We". That is the club. He obviously has talent. He was always touted as top 5 in the draft that year. We need to develop him pure and simple. He has attributes that other players don't have. Let's not trade away a top 5 pick like Josh Kennedy. That one always kills me.

Surely that is different though?
Everyone knew deep down Kennedy would likely be a star.

Surely we could have thrown a “managed” against Silvagni.

He’s worked his ass off in Pitto’s absence.

Omitted seems harsh.

Honey (managed) Silvagni(omitted)

Surely that's an error and it's the other way around
