Heavs - Hit nail on the head. His intensity does not match the rest of the team and he is too laid back. His smiling and laid back body language is something we need to stamp out.

He is forever behind his man. Granted he did one good spoil, but would rather move on from him now. But that has been the theme of Him, does a couple of good things a game, but I dont think thats good enough now as we move forward.

Lets develop someone else. As I said I like Parks intensity, he may not be completely ready, but with the structure around us, I think it will either break even or help us going forward.

Going to be another character test this one. Hawks in good form with their tails up and historically trouble us.

Sam Mitchell's shit eating grin  :banghead: I can't stand that arrogant cauliflower. I'd love nothing more than to towel them up good and proper, but for now a win by a couple will be fine. The good thing is, there shouldn't be any reason for our guys to take them lightly after they torched Port Adelaide

Somehow we are odds on favourite, by a fair bit too.
Carlton win $1.44 v Hawthorn win $2.80.
Interesting, hopefully we flog them.

In the last 20 years, our record against this mob has been terrible.

They have won 22 out of the last 26 games against us. That has included some real beltings along the way - twice in that period they beat us by over 100 points and six other times by 50 points or more.

A strong win against Hawthorn this week would be another mini milestone to tick off as this group strives to write its own history.

Lets face it our record against most teams has been terrible! Hopefully we are turning the corner!

True but other teams' wins against us have generally been fairly ho hum. Hawthorn always finds ways to mess with our heads.

The Fevola miss
Stopping Fevola getting to 100
The 138 point thrashing.
2019 we just thrashed the Western Bulldogs and were 5 goals up against this mob at halftime. Had we turned the corner? Nup
2020 just thrashed the Western Bulldogs lost to Port after the siren and as hot favourites were 5 goals to nothing against this mob after 10 minutes. Thrashing coming up? Er yes actually but not the one we wanted.

So every team has a good record against us but Hawthorn always find that extra salt to pour into the wounds....

Plowman coming on gave me the chills. 'here we go' and nothing has changed my mind.

I've always been a fan of his. But the contrast in intent/urgency between him and the rest of our team when he came on really stood out to me. I haven't watched it back though so it might have just been a false impression.

I just watched the game again.

Plowman is a plodder

McEvoy is dominating in the ruck even up against North who went in with 3 rucks he won the hit outs.
However they are losing the clearances and inside 50 count.
If this continues this weekend we will belt them. Our small forwards are not going to allow them to waltz out of defence like North and Port did. And Georgiades and Rozee are no Curnow and Mackay.
Someone maybe JSOS needs to play a negative role on Sicily.

They had 9 players with over 100 games and 5 off them were 150 plus. So they have some experience. We had 7 over a 100 with none reaching the 150 games yet.

If we bring the same pressure it will be a belting.

In Martin Cerra
Out Oscar Fog

Gov Newman and Weiters should be able to handle Bruest and Lewis.
Gunston will play defence

The Dickson goal after the siren. Not sure why but
don't think I have ever been so angry about a game of football.

Absolutely no way we are going in with one key defender. Young will come in for McDonald

Might help if I looked :-)
They won the hit outs and I am sure I heard Noble say he took 3 rucks to combat McEvoy.
