Glad no one else was trying to keep up with the Joneses.

I guess Dow is competing with Cerra and Kennedy for a midfielders role.

Martins running capacity goes unnoticed to May posters. He gives us width like the wings do or should and he's up and down the ground defending and creating. also lays a mean tackle in this game of attrition.

I hope Motlop brings his A game if he is selected.

If that goal off the wing in the two's is a sign what's to come, he'll go alright.
Endurance may not be fully there yet.

Why do the footy gods hate us so much?? Massive test of character tomorrow night.

It makes me very nervous that we've still got a day till the match. My son tested negative yesterday morning and was positive by late afternoon. We're every chance to lose players right before the bounce of the ball.

The bulldogs have been kissed on the d*ck here. They were ripe for the picking... as I said it's a massive test of character for our club. Need to put up a good showing regardless of the result.

It’s all ok.
I just hope Walsh is genuinely ready to go.
Yes, it’s a challenge but that is exactly what we need. If we play well, but lose I’m
Ok with that. Especially if we then win the next two against the Hawks and Suns. 3-1 to start the year would be pretty bloody good and I’m ok with getting a reality check to keep the lid on along the way.

Of course, I would love to beat the Bulldogs. But I more want us to play to our potential every week.

PS. Hawthorn lost Breust and McVoy to COVID last week I think. And won.

I feel nervous about bringing Walsh back so soon, even if they believe he's good to go...

Yep, I'm very nervous about this. After this game we have a good break too, it's a long season.

Five weeks isn't really rushing things given recent recoveries by other players.

With Carroll injured, Motlop is almost irresistible this week.

OUT: Cerra, Martin, Setterfield, Owies
IN: Walsh, Fogarty, Dow, Motlop

I’d drop all of O’Brien, Setterfield & Fisher, but the shelf is empty.

The wouldn't risk losing him for a longer stretch. If the injury has healed 100% then I'm happy he's back.
GO BLUES!
