top 5 based on ranking points

Freo - Brayshaw (100.8), Mundy(95.2), Darcy(93.5), Fyfe(89.6), Ryan(87.5)
Blues - Walsh (105.6), Docherty (98.6) - injured, Curnow (90.3), Cripps (87.6), Newman (81.3) Weitering (74.6)

Cripps, Dow, Stocker, Martin, SPS and Fogarty need to a play game of their lives.

Freo is batting deep this year in terms of good form.

Selection table never concerns me but the quality of display as a unit - Freo will play with more synergy due to a stable line up.

Going to be a tough task - let's see how it goes.

What, Cerra is not in their top 5??
We should definitely give up our first pick and pay him $800k…

Agree - turning bit cold on Cerra - his management asking too much on potential projected output.

..add to the fact we already have far too many middle of the road 21-23 year olds on our list. People keep screaming play them in their position but how do you fit 12 midfielders in 5 positions.

Murphy moved out of the midfield group and made one spot available.
Curnow should be next even if he's tagging, we can play 5 forwards.
Cripps to rotate with a player who can do better at clearances.

The key is to give the heir apparents of the midfield more time to learn their craft now they have matured a bit.
Rotations have to be a fact of life for Cripps and co to ensure we are at full pace and fresh to compete 100% when in midfield.

Dow is coming along now. he's 21yo and he will get stronger at the contest.
SPS is next in line. Fisher should be in the mix. Cuningham was coming of age.

Next year I expect Williams and Martin to be midfield fit.

Kemp, Stocker, developing next year.

Setterfield, see Dow. Must increase intensity and hunger for the contest, or the abovementioned will pass him.

Playing the Freo home game at the MCG is a massive boost much better than down at Geelong as it had been suggested.

Or we can be blindly positive and back the boys in because if we win will be one game out of the eight.

Loser from Syd v WCE will fall bottom end of eight and potential two spots opening up in the eight in the coming month.

Not over until its over although the added pressure and disruption not helping but who knows.

Cool! So we'll be level with Richmond if we win

Very surprised with the Williamson selection. Feels a bit 'last chance' to me.

Based on his last reserves game very surprising.
Still 22 and missed shit loads of football so I think it’s too early to be calling it last chance.

If GCS beat Tigers, I thought that we'd be a chance if we kept winning and Tigers, Swans and Eagles opened up spots for the taking.

I'm still confident we can make the Finals, but still want the team to get its shit together. Moreso, the playing group, because they are the list we have.

Watching GCS last night made me feel enviable of their desire to win the ball.

:D agreed, flower' hate the tanking mentality many of our supporters adopted a few years ago.

Anyway, since #1 is the only draft pick we seem capable of getting right, ladder position only matters if we get another spoon. Seems unlikely with 5 W's on the board already and more than 1/3rd of the season to go.

Yes! We get free seats

With this weekend's Round 16 match against Fremantle now being played at the MCG, we would like to offer you a complimentary ticket in return for your unwavering support this season.

The match remains an away one for Carlton, with the Club using it as a replacement game for members who missed out on our Round 12 encounter with West Coast.

Click below to redeem your ticket at 3pm today.

Just the fact you Melbournians can go and watch the Bluebaggers is a privelege. For free...bonus.

We are lucky no doubt. This is the biggest game of the clubs season with one of its weakest line ups with a crippled injury list. It will be intriguing to see how the boys line up and play.

I just read my email.
That was a nice surprise.
I will be there assuming I can get a seat.

Got my ticket & looking forward to it.

Giants will likely lose to Melb, Dons should lose to Cats tonight. We beat Freo & we're right back in it.

Might as well just hand us the cup now, I reckon

Fantastic initiative by the AFL/Club. Good to see the Carlton members getting rewarded like this. Maybe it's not all bias .... having said that - I've just read, that the one eyed - Perth's team favorite umpire is adjudicating the game tomorrow.
I think my blood pressure will be playing up again....
