Matthew Wright has really fallen away. Not chasing and little pressure. One of the "not up to it" brigade.

I can't believe anyone would want to trade Tuohy.

He along with Simmo, Doc and Cripps are the only ones consistently doing useful things.

Say what you like we have not improved at all this year.
Malthouse was a terrible coach Bolton should be doing a lot better

Aside from results and the way we play, I agree we are just as bad.

I think we're spent. Arse end of the season, and we've faced some of the best in the business and come up just short a few times.

We need a break, rest, freshen up and have a real good pre-season into these young lads.

It doesn't look good the way we're butchering the ball, but we just don't have the legs.

They did the same to us in round 12, it's got to be more than us just being tired.

How could we be more tired than the saints players? Doesn't make any sense.

The more I watch this year, I do wonder how we get back to the top. Might take something really radical, only 6-8 players in my opinion that ain't tradable... Maybe everyone else is.

Interesting, frustrating, exhausting but exciting times ahead.

True, they played in a grand final 6 years ago, went away and stockpiled youth (very good players not even playing today) we are years behind the Saints and even the Dees. We just have to look forward to the next three drafts.

I think some people here are quite soft. Many struggled to see where we would get our wins from this year (myself included).

It was never going to be easy, we still have heaps of holes to fill, we have won 6 games with no forward line and run 3 top 8 sides to the wire.

This is the first game all year we have really dropped our bundle, not really worthy of burning the club down

Saints have been up there, have dropped back down and are on the way back up.
Meanwhile we have been down the entire time.
Melbourne are better than us.
Richmond

It is going to take a long time.

- having Casboult as only KPF who can't kick must be demoralising for the rest of them.
- our forward 50 set up a joke
- leg speed. Bring in Thomas with Walker??
- Graham, Wright, Kerridge aren't good enough for lengthy stays on the ball

As much as it hurts, this is exactly what we needed and the best thing that could have come out of today (except a lousy send off for Walker). It will remind the decision makers that we simply need to continue to go to the draft and grow our own. The last thing we want to do is get lulled into the false sense that we are a few players short of a side now that we have a modern coach/plan and can run with Sydney/Hawthorn/etc., because that's when you make shit decisions to trade early picks.

We have a very strong core group of youth, and I believe we have the makings of a premiership spine. We lack depth and and we lack polish. That will come.
