Yep he almost does as much dumb stuff as good.
I think we can all put the Macloed talk away.
If a club offers a first rounder I think you take it, just to get another elite young mid through te door, though in saying tat Yazz would be handy forward I suppose. Give him half a yard remotely near goal and it's goodnight Irene he's that silky near goal.
I think he lacks decision making and hence struggles at times down back. And i also think he is prone to getting frustrated down back. Up forward he just gets a fix on the goals, sells a bit of candy and he's off !

Macloed is viewed by some as the best ever Crows player and two time premiership player. He doesn't have to be that good.

He kicks his goals playing down back but pushing forward.

Teams aren't letting him get away with it and forcing him to be more accountable.

They may well take a first rounder for him but it might not be the greatest decision we ever made.

Watch the sort of teams who try and grab him, they'll be people who think they are flag contenders.

Rowe has been very good lately, from the Syd game onwards. Great bloke too

Murphy has also been great since Strangelove departed. Even Carrots, who's disposal hurts us at times, racked up huge contested possies. The difference in this team is utterly amazing. Barks comes across very well too doesn't he ? Could the senior gig just be what he needed ? Perhaps an average assistant but has the X factor as a senior coach ?

Cripps was just outstanding today
Graham tackled like his life depended on it
Bucks continues to grow
Bell was like a raging bull
Murphy led from the front
Doc was dour in defence

There certainly was a harder edge in the team today not seen for a long time, shown by the way we played particularly when we didn't have the ball.

Imho this was such an important win for the fact we did it without Judd. Not wanting to take away from the great man himself, but to grind out a win like that without Judd is great for the boys confidence.

Cripps just put Judd's boots on. BOG tonight IMO and has yet to play 20 games. The kid is a monster and if he can stay on the park will win plenty of games for us. We don't even know what he can do yet in the air. Bell might look like Kouta but Cripps might end up playing like Kouta.

Workman-like down back, but I just feel he's wasted down there, and they take him to the goal square whenever they can. Wouldn't mind him as permanent fwd-wing for a month. Yazz and Menz as HFFs would be a dangerous duo, added to Everitt and big Levi. Just need to find a FF. Btw, how much are we not missing Jones ?

Nothing comes close to a win.

Keep your #1 draft picks. In my mind, nothing beats hearing that song at the end of a game!!!

What I loved the most about the game today was that they backed each other in a lot of 1v1s unless it was a quick high kick into the 50 at either end.

Smalls were rolling in and sitting off waiting to scoop the ball up. It kept happening, and happening instead of the silly 3v1 situations that other teams gleefully feasted upon. Put a smile on my face.

Nothing was more infuriating this year than our insipid tackling. Ferocious today.

Our team tackling efficiency was at 70% for the match late in the game.

I believe you're considered an elite tackler if you're tackling over 65% regularly, today we had a whole team doing it. Ridiculous number of smothers too.

21 possessions so did plenty with and to receive the footy, with Port's quicker players regularly hunting him if he got a touch.

I think today shows we need to get Yarran and Buckley out of defence, because while they stick to their man and do a job, they do not cut off much of the footy when it's their turn because they don't have a read. That and their regular opponents kicked 6 goals and had 32 possessions for the day.

Our team defence was much better but we get chopped up by small forwards who work hard up to the wing and work their opponents back; we either have a bloke who can't go with them, or an attacking type we've converted into a defender who loses them after trying to get into the play.

Yup, waiting for that day. Smith should be involved as well.

It's only taken 8 years for Gibbs to lay a tackle. Well done.

Indeed. Smith will be a good defensive fwd and goal sneak type in the future. Hope that Boekhurst is given games too. Has genuine outside speed.

Selection is good at the moment. I hope guys like Jaksch, DVR, Walsh, Holman, Whiley get opportunities in the second half of the year. Smith & BB need big pre seasons as they can barely run out a qtr at AFL level and at the moment they would be a liability.

Me too, but...

I laughed a lot more when someone pointed out that over their careers Gibbs has more avg tackles/game than Cassisi.
