Yeah we have players out and underdone.
Kids without a tank and a shallow list.
But was a long season to go before the president and the CEO pulled the pin on the season in round two.
And the rug from under players... Leaving everybody floundering in that decisions wake..
Was a predictable result.
Last weekend stkilda beat the doggies

Thank you for a balanced view. President and CEO are absolutely culpable for de-motivating the playing list
Not sure if La Guidice is a great thinker.
La Guidice's response "Win some games" to the question what does the coach have to do to retain his postion was another example of simplistic bottom line thinking that has ravaged the club
The correct response should have been. a) develop players
b) engender endeavour
c) We will win some games if we tick the first 2
A president actually has to lead, support, motivate and fire up the club in its time of need

I don't think he did that because he was told to.
But he did say that because he doesn't understand football.
He's a puppet in the manner that he is there because he's allowed to be there.
He's allowed to run the club as long as it fits the dimensions of his authority.
He can't clash.. That's for sure!
He certainly isn't an independent as he likes to pretend.
We all know what is in store for him at the click of the fingers...
There is nothing he can do about it when it comes to that moment... Same as for sticks.

They're taken out the back and the pump action is unloaded on them...

He has no allies when he's not needed.
It's the nature of how it all works.
My message to mark is... "Cross your fingers "

These players don't have incentive... It was withdrawn round two

I take it you mean that after round 2 it was stated that all players could be up for trade and we would look at trading into the draft.
How unsettling this must be for the players.
Yesterday Murphy and Gibbs looked broken at the press conference. When asked about them being traded by the club Gibbs responded that they had long term contracts and that meant that they wanted to be there and the club wanted them.
This is appalling by the club to make this statement when it did.
These two players showed loyalty to the club by turning down offers from other clubs when they became free agents.
The club is imploding and is fractured.

Sport is competition not excuses.
Round two in a twenty two round Computron is way too early to pull the pin on competing

It's like a white guy in the 100m sprints looking around and saying
Right! I'm not doing this race I need to do some more training and I'll be back next time.

If it isn't the most disgraceful statement ever made in sport!
What a pathetic idiot!

Often in a sport like boxing the guy goes down the referee calls for a technical knockout and them guy who went doormen his berserk because his competitive ego doesn't allow him to just be taken out.
Here we have a president of a football club in effect saying he's winding up this season and looking towards 66 games down the track in round two of competition..
He's not only pulling the plug on this season he's telling you in round two of this season that he's pulling the club on the next few seasons.

Is there any wonder our club doesn't have a backbone to be a stand up kind of club on and off the field?

Excuses around this club are like flies on shit

It took you a little while to latch onto that

I posted here it was a dumb thing to say.
I always say you become the product of your environment.
If everyone from President to boot studder down are saying we have the worst list and need to rebuild.
They are telling the players you are shit and we are going to get rid of you.
Players latch onto that pretty quickly the lose all desire to be there and start exploring options elsewhere.
I hate the term list it means nothing they should come out and say what they really mean.
The players are shit.
But my thoughts are the players are not shit they are being given the wrong instructions and wrong direction on top of being told they are shit.
And it all stems from the man who is in self protection mode

No problem telling supporters (and players) the truth. That sentiment should piss players off and they should transfer that energy into sticking it up the prez. They are simply confirming what he said if this is the case.

Let's truly bottom out and move on the sooks. Change will occur more rapidly that way.

So your kid fails a test at school do you go in and call him a stupid idiot or do you try and help them. If the kid is studying Hamlet and the test is on Macbeth. Do you tell them they are useless for failing
You keep calling someone stupid and they become stupid its human nature

In a workplace you are made redundant. It's called a change management plan. You are often forced to compete for limited positions. Happens all the time. The change management plan was announced in week 2. They have 20 odd weeks to compete for limited positions.

They ain't kids

Listened to Mick on 5AA. Kids only played because of injury list and it's about winning. Sounds like its back to the usual suspects.

We are in trouble this Sat, we will be made to look stupid. Then follows the usual:

*Post game interview Mick will keep fighting, its only round 7
*LoGiudice will keep saying nothing at all
*Sunday papers will sack Mick, trade player XYZ, suggest new coach from list XYZ
*Talkback radio sack Mick and drop Gibbs and tell us Murph not as good as Hodge, also throw in some Eddie and Waite regrets
*Monday Robbo, Lloydie, Lyon, Carro and Brownie suggest player trades and new coach
*Tuesday LoGiudice re confirms he thinks maybe no decision on Mick until end of season, Gibbs, Hendo, Yarran and Murph sort of wanted, maybe, but he needs to check with SOS first
*Wednesday Carlton website has feel good piece on something old and irrelevant or a story on Kruezer
*Wed Trigg contradicts LoGiudice or vice versa
*Thurs TC slam the MC for not playing the kids and not dropping Gibbs, Jones and Murphy and for not playing Watto
Friday hit repeat button

I so want to remain positive with this. Excited about menzel coming back in, ditto Henderson and yazz and maybe even kreuzer........

But I just can't. I know were gonna play bullcrap negative football so I'm just not even gonna bother.

Sad really. I want to get excited about watching these guys play - but the excitement just isn't there.

I suppose that's why our membership tally is so low.

It won't make a difference. The more games he plays in a row and the more training sessions he pushes himself in, the closer he is to the foot letting him down again.

They will have to find some crazy way of managing this injury.
