I think Garlett's 'lie' was that he covered up for Robinson.

Jarrad Waite 23 13 151 - Wanted change / 2 year deal @ 32 with history of injuries

143 89 947 or 85% of total.

Not sure what lesson it really serves?

Should we not have taken Judd?
Would we have been complaining about paying 500k a year for Eddie when he went missing in important games?
Should we have kept Jeffy despite him directly lying to the Club?
Was JW worth a 2 year contract all things considered?

I have always thought Garlett was harshly viewed here on TC.

Not sure why people get their knickers twisted over players leaving Carlton and doing well.

It happens. Even with Jacobs, we thought we'd done well getting Laidler, looked a great swap after the first year. Kennedy, you'd do the Judd trade every time, Betts was a good player at Carlton, much better at Adelaide, we didn't want to match the price for him. We're not really missing that much from Robinson, Waite and Garlett.

In the past we were well protected from it. Hamill was the first to really leave the club.

With some it was they way they left.
It used to be that players leaving never hurt as they never kicked on.
Now they seem to thrive and most of what we bring in spuds it up

Williams.

At least we were fortunate enough to undo that mistake somewhat.
