We're missing Watson's steadying influence in defence, and what he could offer against GWS's key defenders as well.

Just so depressing. I don't understand why we play Hendo who clearly has a problem.

Do you have any idea how hard this is to watch when the players I dislike are probably either our best players so far, or aren't playing and therefore not responsible???

Just where am I supposed to point the finger at? Someone needs to be blamed by some guy on the internet. It's the circle of life. As if I'm supposed to be objective about that. @#$%&! that, the blinkers are on, and I'm going to enjoy blaming the same people week in, week out.

We are just a very poorly skilled side.

What's even worse is that no matter how well we improve over the next few years how can we hope to compete with the talent GCS & GWS have assembled? Incredible talent pool.

Highest first half score for GWS. Shows our biggest problem. Turning it over at half back.

I am not even angry, just expecting it now.
How insipid are we?
The talent in the GWS team is bullshit, the AFL have created a monster.

Speaking of failed experiments, time to scrap goal-line reviews. When 90% of them are "inconclusive - umpire's call", and the defending team can avoid a review by playing on quickly, what is the effin' point?

Anyway, great game this... perfect blend of up-and-coming meets down-and-going, with neither team able to defend. GWS to win 150-120.

There should have been no need to call for the goal review. It was a clear hands/push in the back to Thomas. It resulted in a 12 point turn around.

Last few weeks GWS beat Lions at Gabba and ran Hawks to 7 points at the G. Now, compare that to our performances against these teams also in the past few
weeks. This was always going to be a tough game.

What's even more surprising was pre game odds of us $1.38 v them $3.05.
