That's because we're not generating any excitement as we did when we were winning and.... especially when Fevola was at his top in the goal square.

Who can ever forget Fev being stuck on 99 goals for the year against Hawthorn?

Imagine a player on our list now that could kick 99 goals ?......we wish !!!

My mate and I were rather embarrassed last night to be surrounded by what appeared to be an 80% hawthorn supporter contingent at a Carlton home game that was meant to be celebrating 150 years of our existence.

Anyway, one decision that really irked me was the Menzel spoil when they were bringing it out after a behind, I think in the second quarter. Apparently paid for chopping arms. Since when did they start paying that again?

Well said, Kezza. If I lived in in MEL then you'd attend every home game where possible. Good on you, stick strong (or fat).

I'm the same. Go to many games. But I'll stop going if Essendon* gets off. Yep, if that happens then I will blame Carlton for being part of the conspiracy and I'll never forgive that.

Might be harsh, but a captain kicks those goals.

He had a shocker last night

Murphy was under pressure and would have been tackled if he'd gone any further. Look at the replay.

He has 10m clear space in front of him.

I know it is picky, but it comes down to moments and that was one. I am sure everyone will say good team play and 9 times out of 10 that was the play. But given who he was kicking to and how the game was placed, he should have kicked it

Odd assertion that he should've thought "nope, that's Watto and he's having a shit game, better take a ping from 45 rather than pass to someone on a slight angle 20 out".

I agree. You want your players playing team football. You want senior players looking after younger players. Not Murph's fault that Watto missed a soda.

Beautiful well weighted pass to the correct side of the forward.

Where it was marked was even position A for a left footer. If Watson had been under pressure I think he'd have taken it.

Plus Murph was in shock at the sight of Watson actually beating his man in a foot race.

Shocking analysis of game in herald sun by Glenn McFarlane
Didn't mention Carlton at all
Started by saying hawthorn had 6 senior players who are in their best 22
How about Kreuzer Henderson Jamison Buckley Curnow bell and ellard
Don't they rate a mention
Crap paper no analytical merit
You would expect them to continually get wrong ASADA /Essendon* matter Slobbo is just dumb but you would expect them at least to get analysis of matches right

Agree was in AFL members on Friday night and frightening how few Carlton supporters there
Didn't think we would win especially when jamo and Hendo pulled out but enjoyed the effort
Enough on display / encouraging efforts from young players to warrant coming out on a chilly Friday night
Casboult graham Menzel efforts good and encouraging
Good to see Judd back and I hope they convince him to play next year

What do they want when the club have demonstrated they cannot plan for the future at board level, in recruitment/list management and coaching.

They don't deserve our $$$ given they have shown nothing to demonstrate the club is nothing more than a moribund, inward looking football graveyard.

I was in the Carlton reserved seat area M14-15

Very sparse indeed.

A couple who have been sitting nearby for many years said that they are not too keen to waste their hard-earned on membership next season

With last night done and dusted - and a few off field retirements - a focus might now be more on the future than the past with some new blood taking over...

we have to change our game plan .to do this we have to train for it .wen does pre season start our year is over.run run ,defence all over the field, coach of hawks said its all part of the system.E.g is roughhead or westoff or hawkins with our def 1 on 1,when do u see waite or hendo in that position all the good teams run back and help (do u recall down hill skiers) we are not fit enough .

Watching the replay, notice Michael Osborne was runner. Wonder if it was because we were against hawthorn or a new move. Liked the way he spoke to the forward group after a goal
