Everitt and Thomas, right?

yep and Warnock , brock ,

We didn't give up any draft picks for Thomas. And Everitt cost us a 7 pick downgrade.

Alistair Lynch summed it up nicely. The players are playing with anxiety, they don't want to take the game on, to scared of making a mistake and don't trust the game plan.

Just back from the game...Lynch said that...he's spot on....the amount of times players went to a position to receive....rather than help a team mate...or would take the ball and look around when there was an option right there in front of them....

Dumb, frightened, anxious ....

Just out of interest...did anyone see ONE shepherd today? I think there was one when Walker was kicking out from a behind.....

Just shows they are playing with no "instinct"

We are as low as I can remember and that includes Black Friday, we need to wipe the slate clean and start doing the following

Sort out from the playing group who is good enough and who is not
Confirm what players positions are and keep playing them there, tell them results do no longer matter it now comes down to effort and playing for next year
Blood as many young players as possible and keep them in the side if it means some of the more established players stay in reserves so be it
Buy Bryce his plane ticket to Adelaide and get the best possible return for him
Get rid of Sticks and Swan
Do everything possible to ensure we are in an strong position going into the draft by trading players with value

It rips me apart that we have to start again however I see no other way

Gutted

Hampson's still rubbish at Richmond and he'd still be rubbish if he stayed with us.

Haven't seen the players look so uninterested and unhappy since some of those heavy losses under Ratten.

As a supporter, it is very hard to see any hope in the near future. There's clearly no single factor - it's obviously not just the coach - and it's going to take a while to fix up.

With 5 mins to go part of me wanted to lose. Felt that a 1 goal win would be meaningless.

forget about the footy for the time being and focus on the board. There needs to be a challenge/spill ASAP to begin the rebuild

why did they hang on to the ball on the wing when they got it/ slowing the ball down, then kicking to a contest, which the Dee's players marked, and took back up their end.
Geez I miss the run and carry game.

Thomas cost us the Betts compo pick plus $700k in the Salary Cap and is a Collingwood player.

Everitt cost us good young player in the 30s and is a spud filling a space.

So we didn't pick up a good young player in the 30's? Poor Gilesy

If they didn't acquire Thomas there would have been a pick from Betts?

At least under Ratten, we played some exciting football suited to the strengths of our list and were good to watch.

Yeah it was an era where we mortgaged our future which turned into the present quickly

It's going over old ground and maybe not the thread for it, but it was also an era in which we improved every year - and would have improved again in 2012 but that year was destroyed by an unprecedented injury crisis lasting most of the season.

But the club and many of our supporters weren't interested in the facts, and decided that it was Ratten's fault!

Yes, because we got Thomas we didn't get the pick for Betts that we would of got at the end of first round of start of second round. That's how the FA system works.

I look back at that fateful day, loosing a final to west coast in the cauldron of hate due to persuaded umpires.
Ever since, the only consistency has been our steady decline in effort, skills, intelligence, desire, passion etc etc etc
Carlton is a team of champions (well could've been) and definitely NOT a champion team.

Judd was nothing but a quick fix and a MONUMENTAL mistake that has ruined the club long term.
Warnock is just a waste of oxygen
We can't score yet we have traded every player we have recently had that has shown any remote capability of scoring.
Not enough midfielders said Mick last year..... well mick, what else do we have for flower sake??????

Mick will just repeat history as it was written by Pagan.

New Blood i say, from coach to to administration. Trade all who will not bleed for the club without asking dis-respectful demands (that you first Gibbs)

If i hear another pointless apathetic wind bag of crap from Mick on Monday, i will SPEW UP.
If Sticks opens his mouth without a speech written for him, i don't believe i can have an interest in this great game for the remainder of the season.

The only bright spot is the potential, maybe possible, hopeful fact that Brisbane might just be a more pitiful team. Wont that game be a spectacle!

...a very very frustrated, long time ago die hard fan

Old habits, Donstuie? :? The last time I checked the compensation pick was a draft pick.
