Graham obviously tapped Christie Malthouse on the shoulder at the last club function. Odd.

Maybe Waite is doubtful still?

The only real one I see as strange is Bootsma ahead of Graham.

I watched the VFL last week. Bootsma did little to impress imo.

Omitted 3 mids and didn't replace any

Unless we have a plan to run the amigo's though the middle and maybe Menzel

Bootsma ahead of McInnes is strange

Not selecting Graham :screwy:

Remember Mick said recently the extent of list cuts will depend on whether we make the eight, or something like that

That tells me he is to an extent at least giving preference to the incumbents, in this case the Curnows and Cachias and the Betts' and Yarrans

If these lads balls up then that might be it for them

Then the Grahams get their chance, at least in terms of midfield

But yes there could be a late change

I just think you need to give players a fair run at it before deciding on them so maybe that's what is keeping Graham out of the side so far

Maybe they want Graham to work on some things in VFL

Seriously the second guessing by keyboard phantoms amazes me. I want Graham in blue as much as the next person but I trust the MC and Mick know what they're doing

There has to be a good reason for this.

I just cant work out what.................................................. :?

Is Graham injured?

Are we trying to push up value in some players?

Maybe we are hoping to build confidence vs Dogs?

Help, I'm really struggling here. :banghead:

How the hell are Yarran, Betts, Garlett, Bootsma & Menzel going to improve our 4 quarter effort???????????????????????? :yikes:

It Bootsma is in our best 22, we're not making the finals for the next decade.

Clubs play games with who they give games to as well given clauses in contracts and 'extra $$$' for reaching games thresholds.

Once Boots clicks we'll be very happy for selecting him.

If the mid-field couldn't accommodate Graham, then the forward line could have, but Menzel took that spot.

I'm disappointed for him as I thought he was a shoe-in this week. Oh well, he'll only get stronger this kid. I love him already.

Bootsma can play
If you can't see that you must be blind
Yeah he makes mistakes but he has talent

I think it's good they gave McInness a run and Boots again now
Sprinkle some games into the kids

Before you know it the next wave will come through

Don't know whether to laugh or cry!

We must have the worst MC in the competition.

Where do I start?

Bootsma ... how many opportunities has this bloke had this year ... he might blossom in the years to come ... and thats great ... but come on ... surely there are others that need a chance now ... this guy is MM's white haired boy.

Robinson ... 25 possessions last week ... certainly not our worst midfielder ... terrible decision.

Then of course ... 3 midfielders out ... 0 midfielders in. The mind boggles ... especially when our midfield is struggling with a full complement.

Sam Rowe ... playing terrible football ... why is he still in the side?????? Why not try Casboult? ... he could not play any worse.

Graham!!!!!!!! ... what can say ... this bloke should be in the team ... disgraceful.

Pathetic effort again by the MC. They should hang their heads in shame. Do these blokes actually watch the game?

We are going full steam in reverse and this is the crap they dish out.

He's done his apprenticeship and hasn't much else to prove at that level.

Finds the ball as well as anyone.
As capable and steady a goal-kicker as McLean.
Runs all sorts of angles and has very good awareness.

Only the fact of Mclean, Curnow and Cachia being involved, is keeping him out. This kid won't drop his head and may yet find his way into the team for the weekend. Let's see.

I don't mind Bootsma that much.

In the matches live that I have seen of Bootsma he is surprisingly fast and pretty intent on causing damage for a smaller bodied player. You can see it better at a live match. He has a bit of intent about him.

I wasn't going to watch anymore Carlton games for the rest of the year - as Carlton's season is effectively over after the Freo loss - but with Menzel in the team it might be worth watching one more match, just to see a player who might be a good player next year.
