What's wrong with earning a game?

....Graham is knocking on the door after last week, already in the emergencies doing well

  I put the three 'Amigos' (Eddie Betts, Chris Yarran and Jeff Garlett) into a Spanish name generator and it came out with Lugo Aguero, Lazaro Salto and Gombal Obrégon. Much better.

I would play Lazaro Salto on Michael Walters this week.

'Lazaro Salto' means, 'Lazarus jumped up' in Spanish.

and the week before. The hypocricy is astounding.
Ratten would be getting his arse pasted all over this site for not bringing in youngsters who are performing.
We're nowhere near our best and MM knows it. We should be bringing in kids who are performing to keep pressure on the incumbents.

Despite an "indifferent" season, Salto has gone past 20 goals this year, and with a few multiples could nudge 30. Not too bad an effort.

An excellent challenge for the boys this week. If we can stand up to the restrictive pressure of Freo's "in your face" style of game, it will be a positive step forward.
Carlton by 22 points.

That Marngrook Footy Show is the pick of them. No politics. No prima donnas. Lots of good clean fun and they know their footy.

Fev is a ripper and a natural for TV.

There's an old footy term called sharking where the opposition mids pick off the taps.. So why not shark Sandi's expected taps and let Kreuzer dominate around the ground.

..oppo. mids' have been sharking Sandi's taps for years.. ..most midfield set-ups realise that they'll concede many more taps to Sandi, and rove accordingly..

Remember Harvey from Nth talking about their centre square setup against Freo revolves around 2 of their onballers roving to Sandi, and only 1 to their own ruckman.

Thought that as well. Maybe releasing Simpson back into the midfield?

Another lost opportunity ... 'weak as water' by the MC. Still ... its what we have come to expect.

Why?

We are still trying to make finals , arguably not right time to blood kids

Continuity

Hmmm ... you can't have it both ways ... either we have a side thats good enough to cause trouble in September or we don't. Making the finals only to be ejected in the first week is a pathetic excuse for not taking risks at the selection table. There are players in the side that are not performing. For example ... Rowe. He and others have been given a good run the last few weeks ... so now ... why not try to improve the side ... why not shake it up. When you take risks you find out more about your players ... Now I know tricky Micky would like to make the finals (especially when he inherited a side that really should now be higher up the ladder) but if he is really about making this side better ... thats what he should be doing!

As for other comments about players in the vfl not knocking the door down ... I think those posters should go and have a look at the Northern Blues the last couple of weeks. There are several names that are up in lights and we need to start trying them out.

Pathetic by the MC. And yes it is as expected ... safe ... unimaginative and ultimately not in the best interests of the CFC. Even if we win against Fremantle ... and I hope we do (I'll be jumping for joy) ... in the long run it does not help when you don't take risks ... 1 or 2 changes would not stuff up the continuity of the side ... Pathetic by the MC.
