We have a great chance to win this.

Our last 2 performances against Bumbers and Hawks is enough proof that we are ready for these guys. Plus a bye to freshen up...primed imo.

Tippett has never impressed me.
I have seen him have good games where the ball sticks and he kicks straight, but that's been rare. Last weekend he looked crap imo. A big lard..Jammo will have his measure.

Goodes out vs Murphy out...nullify each other.

They have other key players missing

KP's / Ruck: Reid, LRT, Mumford, Everitt
HB/ Wing: Jetta Shaw

Lets get 'em on the rebound....after a 6 day break from a bruising game in the wet.

No excuses.

I don't think rain will be pelting down on Friday night...showers decreasing by Wednesday...might have a couple early showers as they clear for the sunny weekend.

I am excited!!!!!!!
Sitting in the SCG members....barracking for the Bluebaggers...LOUDLY.

I'll be listening out for the TC group headed by Dr Sherrin with a coupla Sydney based TCers.....lets shout the house down!!!!!

hey BB,
howz about you, doc, and the others wear 'I heart TC' Tees, and wave to us?
I'll try and guess who is who.

Reckon it might be:

In: Yarran, Carrazzo, McInness
Out: Bootsma, Murphy, Rowe

Hopefully Carrots is fit and firing, we'll definitely need him out there. Love the way McInness went about it last year and sounds like he has started where he left off, bring him in as a much better fit than Rowe. Yarran for Boots...

Murph and Goodes both out nullifies which is great.

We can pinch this one, they are there for the picking and have a few injuries of there own to worry about!!

I think we are a fair chance as the Swans are coming off a 6 day break and missing some key players, namely: Goodes, LRT, Shaw, Sam Reid, Mumford and Jetta.
On paper there isn't much between the sides.
No excuses.

Really believe this is the game we have 2 big marking targets on the FF line with Casboult and Waite as genuine targets and Bettsy at their feet.

Kreuzer to play CHF leading up and getting involved in the midfield because CHF's either get lost as the ball sails over their head or they get involved on the next line. He then can roam the HF to wing as the link up HF...which we will need 2, and I think Garlett is the other with Carrazzo or Armfield as the defensive HB on Malceski.

That means bring in Hampson or Warnock against Pyke. Ita a case of jumping over pyke and it sounds from NB reports that Hampson did allright in the ruck last week with his ability to jump over the opposition.

Rowe is too slow.
Bootsma too skinny.

Yarran is a must for class...but who do we drop?
I have selected Lucas as the man who is dropped, not because he's out of form, but I ccan't see McLean or Robbo being dropped ahead of him, now can I see Yarran being left out...took a hint from the Jammo article and how MM doesn't like to punish over and over.

For anyone reading this from Sydney. The cheer squad and supporters will be meeting at the Irish pub in fox studios from 6pm.

the cheer squad will require help with the banner on the ground, particularly with the weather being so bad

My forecast says only a chance of rain on Friday...not much breeze to speak of and about 14o by game time.

I think our ultra-defensive midfield approach will really pay dividends for a game like this. Sydney's spine is virtually gone, relying on Tippett and White as their key forwards.

They'll need their midfielders to push forward and create scoring opportunities for themselves, which they showed against the Crows at being very capable of. Their ball movement by hand is sublime, but with Cachia, Carrots and Curnow all playing defensive roles on the tight SCG, their space will be stifled and so will their run.

If we catch their mids heading the other way, should be able to score a bit on the rebound. Not convinced this is the game for Yaz and Garlett to show off their pace. As Bondi said, have the key forwards on the goal line and the smalls at their feet. Kruezer in the ruck, use Armfied and Yarran as the lead up forwards.

Definite Brad Moran possibility...

Nah - the Hookers is another thing altogether.

I was actually a member of the cheer squad back in 81-82. I was 11 years old and used to walk down to the ground. Only way I could see was to join the cheer squad and stand on one the rows of seats they were given.

It's okay...I didn't touch any of them or anything... :yikes:

It better not rain because I do not want to sit out in it on Friday night, I'm too old for that shit.

Playing at the SCG will hurt us a bit as we love the run and carry like the MCG gives us.
Having said that, we can cause an upset
