A lot of posters obviously don't rate the benefit of getting centre clearances. We've dominated in this area when Warnock has been playing. And struggled otherwise. Kreuzer's a good player, but still not convinced he's a real ruckman.

Go back further and they have beaten twice in the last 7 times we have played them.

Problem is to have the win in those centre taps we sacrifice Kruezers strengths and we lose a marking forward. That is up to the coaches to weigh up. A close call i'd say. I could go either way.

Waite, Kruezer up front and Warnock in ruck - no casboult
or
Waite, Casboult up front and Kruezer in the ruck.

No 2 works for me as krooz playing forward doesn't work. He thrives on being the ruckman. Our mids need to work harder.

Robbo needs a spell in the 2s. He throws his head into the contest too many times and comes out groggy and going at half pace for the rest of the game.

Yeah, fair point, Club. I like Casboult in the side, because I think he's our best key forward option on the list at the moment (after Waite) by a fair margin. But I don't rate Kreuzer as a 1st ruck, and thought he was pretty good up forward last week.

And I agree that we won't be seeing 3 big lugs in the same team again in the foreseeable future.

Problem is, I'm not sure our midfield thrives on him being the ruckman. Bellchambers will outreach him. And Ryder will jump all over him. If Warnock is fit, he'll be back in.

Carrazzo has come back well from injury in the past, reckon he & Betts will both play.

He wasn't so convincing when interviewed before the game, playing on words without committing.

MM will work towards to playing 3 talls up fwd, his thought of that's how finals are won as it stretches the oppositions
KPD stocks covering all 3 so at least 1 should get off the chain.
Think we'll trial Casboult in tandem with Waite this week with Kruezer up there as well in between rucking interchanges with Warnock.

Our record in these 'season defining' games has been crap for the last few years.
Win this week and we're top of the ladder.
Win this week and cement our spot in the eight.
Win this week and whatever.

We have a tendency to lose them.

It's time we broke the hoodoo.

I think we have the cattle and if we play for four quarters and kick reasonably straight we can win this.

Another problem is we have been starting slowly. We have to come out firing on all cylinders this week and against the top sides and have them on the back foot for the whole game and NOT lapse like we did against Collingwood, Richmond, Geelong and St Kilda.

We should be 10-0!!

I'd have Cachia on Watson, good learning curve.

Curnow has the endurance for Stanton.

Howler is a danger, huge build, can kick goals too.

These are my thoughts too. This game is not only against one of our biggest enemies it will really give us confidence and maybe set us up for a tilt at top 4. We never win these games, ever. It would be a huge step forward if we did.

Warnock's record against Essendon* is exceptional. Reckon he plays for mine.
