Happy with Cas - now I hope he gets a go at CHF to show what happens when we have a target.

Pleased with Bell - especially his first half - just get games into him.

Happy with McInnes - cool head, games into him and Watson a must.

Now try some other kids and build some depth.

Liked JR's second and third quarters.

Can Gibbs just play in the midfield for the rest of the season - please.

Oh and Watson just play back - he's not the one you try at CHF. Not after, what 10 games?

Hi Sedat, yes you did warn us. Didnt realise the Doggies were so bad. You have some good young talls coming through which take time. My brothers barrack for the Doggies so always have had a soft spot for them.
A good win by our boys though.
Shame about the crowd, not what the Doggies would have budgeted for.

I think Cas might need a rest after last night. Looked spent and a bit lame.

Was my first impression too.

Now if the kid can just develop his skills to go with his bash and crash game, he'll become a one man wrecking ball helping smash teams.

Well done first gamers!!

Much better second half, effort was great!

Bower, Russell be lucky to get another game, Thornton may but not another season surely.

I agree, Bower looks shot, he never seems to have any confidence in what he is doing, it is almost like he believes that he doesn't belong out there and Russell just doesn't look like a senior AFL footballer, I think they will both be gone next year.

I hope both Levi and Tom Bell play next week as they showed enough in their first games, Bell has no fear and looked like he will pick up the pace of senior footy with a few games and I would love to see Casboult given the rest of the season as a permanent forward.

Garlett good in the middle.

Yes Effes, he was good and showed a fair bit of intensity, without the Hollywood lairising, maybe he needs to be dragged out of the forward line for a while to remind him of how important the little things are, I thought it was a good move by the coach.

9 players less than 50 games
3 debutants
2 others with less than 10 games
Plus 3 blokes that have run their race

You need to pull your head in Keogh there is no way we should have beaten anyone last night

So SB a 3 goal win against a shit side where it took nearly 3 quarters to head them means we think differently. It doesnt change my mind one bit.
In Horse racing terms the first half was like a maiden at Edenhope. Worst half of footy I have seen this year
I want to win the Melbourne Cup.

five years ago I didnt want to be where we are now. If it wasnt for a couple of Betts brilliances we would have lost.
We have hung on to guys like Bower, Thornton, etc too long
Curnow is ordinary

Gibbs on Griffin
Watson as a forward
How flower dumb were those 2 moves

he changed them but he had to.

Out of the youngsters McInnes is impressive. Is a good size and shows good awareness. The question is why wasnt he in the side earlier.
Casboult is more mobile than I thought. Showed a lot of ticker and can take a pack mark. Hooray

One thing you cant disagree is this
The difference betwen our best and worst is vast.
Why is that
Footy has changed
Clubs get injuries. We have copped more than our fair share.
Thats why all players on your list not just your best 22
are drilled in the game plans the coaches desire.
We dont because we employed a part time reserves coach who was sick of being treated like shit and left and we have a senior coach who doesnt put enough time into all of our players on the list.

Your comment that we shouldnt have beaten anyone last night with the list we had is bulls--t
It smacks exactly what is wrong with this club
People within the club obviously have the same view
Wall papering the cracks
because we are meant to be a top 4 side
Thats what the head hunchos said at the start of the year.
So as the Who said The kids are alright

But I aint going to be sucked in by a good half of footy against the second worst side in the comp at the moment who pansted us in the first half

We weren't pantsed because of anything but laziness in the first half. And that laziness also caused most of the skill errors in the first half too.

If we had have played all four quarters like we played the second half, we would have done them by 6-10 goals in a canter.

So a side fighting for a spot in the 8 get beaten in a half of footy because they are lazy.

Why is that
There isnt one answer for that question
But that is the question that has to be answered now by the club
Given how the club have done the quick fix solution for over a decade now do you reckon they will do it after such a great win.

Oh we were just lazy underestimated the opposition because they are shit and in the end the best team one

Your views sum up this club succinctly
We are Carlton @#$%&! the rest
We are better than re bulldogs and thats why we are lazy
What a load of shit

The thing is we beat them with a virtual VFL side, with many rookies. Barring GWS and GC no-one should lose to the side we sent out last night. Go to the Bulldog's board and see how they saw it. Much different perspective. In some respects it was good we played the Dogs. A win will help the kids.

If we play with the intensity of the first half we'll lose. Like watching a NAB Cup game. Might've been a confidence thing. If we play the way we played in the second half, we win. The effort and intensity lifted many fold.

The most important thing that come out of last night was the performance of the kids. Every one of them played well.

KK it is simply a matter of some more game time, finding his confidence and being allowed to mature. Tonight his games total matched the number on his back. He turned 20 just 5 days ago. He will improve if everyone can just wait.

Right on the money Cazz, it was pleasing to see the kids go well in difficult circumstances, we now have to keep getting games into them when we can, I still don't yet expect them to have massive impacts on games or to be able to play consistently in the seniors over a full season, but it will happen.

Last night we had 5 players with a combined total of 15 games, hopefully we continue to play these kids for the rest of the season even at the expense of senior players and results as it will help the depth that we all have been crying about.

Look at the Bulldogs they arent any better! Lots of kids, lots of inexperience and the loss of Higgins after halftime hurt them badly. As MM said they just have No one how can kick a goal.

Everyone looks at whos out but look whos in. Murphy, Carrazzo, Jamison, Yarran, Betts, Gibbs should be able to match anyone especially given the lack of class in the Bulldogs side.

An indictment on him as a coach tbh

Most were calling for those changes much earlier

Who's to say he made those changes....our initial setup had Ratts written all over it....negative....the kids gave us the energy to get over the line plus a couple out of his arse from Eddide which sums up our fwd structure....Dogs are a a rabble....poor Sedat....good judge of his own team though....

It's amazing that when shit goes wrong you blokes are all over the coach like a bad suit, but when things work it was someone else's decision, who do you think made the flaming moves, the Tooth Fairy.

Can't you just give the poor bloke a little bit of credit, he moved Watson back when he saw that he wasn't working up forward, Garlett and Collins both in the middle worked alright.

You scream that the kids should have been played earlier, and there is merit in that comment, but if it had happened earlier and the results weren't what was expected, then the coach would have copped it in the neck again for upsetting the balance of the side and crucifying the kids.

Give the coaching panel a go and stop looking for the negative all the time.

There's a problem next week if Kreuzer is fit to play.

Warnock, Kruezer and Cas won't all get a run.

We need a KPF more than any other need right now.

Who misses out?

For me, Kruezer will get owned by Maric. I'd play Knockers and Cas at FF and get him to spell 206. Give Kruezer another week off.

One ruck will play, hopefully Warnock as Kreuzer's body needs sorting. One ruck and Casboult backing up actually give us the best balance. Now sure what that means for two other ruckmen but that's the modern game. Thornton up forward, Waite now HFF rather than KP to save his body, and I'd be happy to rest Jammo and play Henderson at FB for now. Mitchell's starting to clunk marks and, while not any bags, kick some regular goals too. Soon to get a run I'd say.
