the thing that hurts most is if we started with lucas and russell/bower in place of joseph and watson we win that game.

watson geez i wanna give the kid time but he makes lance whitnall look like black caviar.. only faster
and we are -2 goals per week with joseph in the side every week

soul destroying and the rest of the comp is laughing at as.... and selectors GAGF you are out of your minds

Reading this ,and hearing some callers on radio, I wonder if it looked worse on TV than live?
I'm going to watch a few quarters on the replay and find out.
I thought the boys put a lot of effort in tonite, and Watto surprised me. way better than I thought he'd be. Only last quarter really he got tired i think.

No 2 in the comp for defensive I50 tackle
No 1 in the comp for pressure acts inside 50

Must be close to No 1 in smothers
Most likely No 2 behind Buddy for posters

But he aint kicking them

He is not alone though

Cats weren't that flash which makes the loss all the more disappointing given the effort shown....our fwd 50 entries continue to be terrible and certainly contribute greatly to the misses on goal....

The Watson comments by Smithy are off the IMO.

Have been a Watson critic in the past, but was pretty good tonight. Had a great first quarter, got lost in the shuffle when Hendo went back, and seemed to run out of petrol tickets midway through the third.

Pretty happy with the output.

there is hope for him he did some very good things but he is a long way off... has to find some speed and agility from somewhere

We seemed to be on top when hendo was moved down back....any idea why he was moved there?....

Wish I knew, Juddy. Wouldn't mind watching the replay. Has me stumped.

There is one common theme in our losses
Opposition small forwards and midfielders destroy us

Only avg 3.1 tackles a game with very little scoring impact in the last few weeks...

Agreed, however, he often has stood out to me in the last few weeks as largely lacking effort and being ineffective... again not the only one but one that has stood out as the worse from my point of veiw..

Not long home and like others disappointed but pleased with the effort.
Poor kicking for goal let us down yet again, 5 posters.
Liked the development of the younger players, hope they play them for the remainder of the year.
this game is one we probably should have won, our season is pretty much shot now. Who would have thought we would miss the 8?
Umpiring was a joke, how Selwood got that free in the last quarter is beyond me.
Geelong are a shadow of last year.

i dont care if he's 280cm and 172kg it's irrelevant he is too fu#$ing slow atm.

Walker has been struggling since his second game back. Plays selfish and can't kick.

Starting to wonder if its worth moving Judd to half back.

Another game with little impact, albeit with bugger all support at the stoppages yet again...

Good effort considering the last seven were shocking to say the least. I dont know how you could just turn on effort like that but it makes a big difference.

A few points:

Warnock is our first ruckman without a doubt.
Henderson should play chf. Setup the forward line around him.
Gibbs had his best game for a long time. Good sign.
Garlett may not have scored but did alot of the stuff that goes unnoticed. The efforts there.
The thing with geelong is you always have a chance to beat them because they dont change their tactics and play their own brand of footy. They also dont have a tagger which is why simpson got free.

If only those posts were a little thinner!!
Should of won with our opportunities but lacked real class when we needed it.

Once a flog always a flog. He should be reported for that, it was clearly deliberate.
