Blueinblood thinks Russell and Dale will be the emergencies who will travel to SA with the team. Think Kerr travelled to Perth for last year's win against Freo. Really don't see what the fuss is all about with Dale. Certainly shouldn't be picked ahead of Lucas who is a better footballer.

It's all about showing a little desire and intent. Lucas always looks flat dull and hardly even there to me. Wasted talent, trade him to Freo.

So who do we play on Butcher, Shultz and Westoff?

:garthp:

It's harder for a player to get fired up and make an impact as the substitute.

End result of trading Lucas would be another bitchfest after he develops into a better player than Grigg.

The same Butcher who got dropped a couple of weeks back?

Jamo to Schultz, Bower to Westhoff, maybe bring in Thornton - I rate Stewart's impact this year

Butcher is injured and won't play. Which is a win for them if his pre-injury form is anything to go by. They'll play Schultz deep and Westhoff up the ground.

I disagree, the sub should be jumping out of his skin to get on the ground. If you run out with a chip on your shoulder 'because I'm the f%*#ing sub again' then you need to have a serious look at your career choice.
Don't sugar coat it, he needs a teaspoon of cement because at this point he could really prove he wants a permanent role.

And from what I can gather, Grigg walked out and wasn't traded because we didn't want him.

Now sports, should be a good game for us this weekend. If played with guts and passion, we'll win it by a few goals.

I would prefer to play them in Adelaide rather than Etihad at the moment

The bitchfest would be we should've got Talia, who we needed more anyway, instead of Lucas.

We needed our best available player.

Give me a break. Lucas's name doesn't belong in the same breath as Grigg.
Granted he isn't showing enough right now and that is somewhat of a mystery to me, but I wouldn't be casting aside Lucas that quickly just yet.
A much better footballer than Grigg, as time will show up.

Those are the changes.
Interesting that we'd bring in Watson for Collins.

Maybe Bower onto a wing on Westoff and Watson taking the second tall forward?

I wonder if Watson in will allow Gibbs to go froward.
