So before tonight you thought he was still a Carlton player?

If he's just one of them, why didn't you single out Andrew Gaff? He's no different to Kennedy.

I'm happy for Josh. I hope for his sake the Eagles go on to win the premiership.

Oh... gord, think about the potential significance of that one for just a tick, it does my head in, at least. At least there is Geelong left to support.

Got reemed by the umps, no Waite Cruz or Gibbs & 8 frees against!

Our boys showed ticker, u need to hurt before u win the big one, this has hurt all of us, but we're proud passionate Carltonians & we'll be back bigger & better in 2012!

Great year but just one kick short again!

I am Carlton!!

Still for the life of me can't understand why Juddy wasn't played in the goal square? I reckon if that was Juddy instead of Tex he might have got the free!

if it had been lecras it would have been paid - even the commentators called it a free.

We have to be smarter about the way we go about things. Eg the game against the Saints......it was a nothing game really....Judd and/or Murphy should have been rested. I suspect Ratten wants Judd to win another Brownlow for the club. Next year we have to manage our list better.

a few have mentioned Laidler.

I reckon he and Scotland will fight it out for 3rd and 4th in the B&F.

Dissapointed obviously.

We never gave up and nearly pinched it.

going to be another @#$%&! "what if" off season. 3 years running, bloody hell.

owell. we are making progress, slow and steady next 2 years could be pretty sweet I think.

Like that Tuohy lad.

Warnock needed to be spelled by someone who could compete, because Cox & NicNat just waltzed it out when Setanta went up, and our forward line disintegrated after half-time when he had to do that. Hampson would have helped.
We need two players in the team who can genuinely ruck at AFL level AT ALL TIMES.

I agree.
Hampson should have been in the side and nothing against Davies - but surely Russell is the better footballer at the moment.
Overall a great effort considering we were without Gibbs, Waite, Kreuzer and Judd was well down (injured?).

I've heard a few times now that Hampson failed a fitness test in Perth yesterday.

J&TK....Davies would be one who shouldn't be in the best 22 next year.

Tuohy has shown he genuinely belongs.

Have to agree. Davies shouldn't have been in our best 22 this year. Cost us dearly tonight. That idiotic brain fade in the goal square in the first half was helpful, just after giving away another stupid free kick in or near the square. Tuohy will be a beauty !
Impressed with the grit shown by Robbo & Joseph tonight.
Don't comment on umpires very often - but agree with everyone - they were pathetic. Will be interesting to see the stats.
No excuses, but put Waite, Gibbs & Special K in that team ????

F^*K&N unreal if those dog umpires get away with that insipid performance il lose my shit. Razor ray belongs in a cage where people can spit and throw stones at him whenever they please.
If anyone bags our endevour and guts il lose it once more and HAMPSON was not right to play!!!
Ratts has been awsome for you spastics that are calling for his head its quite clear they are giving everything for him.
Watch out 2012 :fight: :fight:

Agree. Could hardly support a team from a state comprised of dumb miners, dyslexics and Filipino prostitutes (apologies to Rose Hancock)

At least Ross Lyon moving to WA from Vic has raised the average IQ of both states!

Geelong reluctantly, hate the rest.

Why play Davies Ratts???????????? You better have a good answer for this
He played in last year's finals too.
Ratten is too obsessed with him

1 tiggy free paid against - 1 stupid free given away - The rest of his game was good - he hit contests hard and straight and whilst wasn't the best should come back a better player. I don't think that we had a better defensive option that was available

I can only guess you're related to him.

We either needed another runner, or another ruckman, not one in-between that was really going to serve no purpose. Davies was simply a wasted selection.

In hindsight, especially with the loss of Thornton, during the game another tall would've been handy.

We'll be hungry, bitter and professionally relentless next year.

Love the passion of all our supporters as they vent on this site and this is what makes this such a great place. Bring on 2012. With a bit of luck I'll be back to able to catch a few games next year in July. You be back in Melbourne then Blue Sombrero?

Thanks to all those who make TC possible and a great link to home for those OS.

Very proud of the boys, just not good enough when it mattered.

Go Blues!

Hi Taff,
Not sure if I'll get back next year. Bit restricted with school now... If we do get back it will be in Jul/Aug and I'll be sure to monitor the fixture. I'll let you know.

I'm upset at the loss as we all are. We could have and should have won but I don't blame the umpires (ever). They call it how they see it. I would like consistency, though. 19 frees in the first qtr and two or three in the last. If you're going to put away the whistle, do it all game or not at all.

Momentum is everything and we lost it when we had it for reasons I have stated. Two goals and we are a long way in front, no crowd involvement and the opposition believe they are against it.

We will be a serious challenger next year. We have to find a big marking forward from somewhere inside the club or outside it and we have to get two rucks on the park and have them watch tonight's game every day for siox months to show how to tap the footy. Cox was awsome in this regard and Natanui also. If big men take so long to develop, why is he so good at 20 odd? He has had a good teacher in Cox. Warnock got lots of hitouts but many of them went to Eagles players or to nowhere. They dominated clearances between the start of the second to almost the end of the game. Warnock has to be retained and Kreuzer has to go up front with Waite. Hendo can stay down back.

And we need Ratts to be more flexible on matrch days. Yarran was taken to full back all game and Walker allowed to rot in the FP when Judd was getting held. Making moves during the game is part ofcoaching but Ratts doesn't like doing it.

Six months is such a long time. When is the first game???

As I wipe way my tears.....3 years running, away games lost by critical moments. I don't blame any individual, a fully fit side at the right time of year will make a huge difference. Good luck to Hammer. Kruze, Gibbs and Waitey.

Not sure where you're from Rick, but that kind of response isn't lifting the IQ of your state.
