Don't agree. They're another class above us in every respect right now and that quarter gave us a lesson in team footy. If not for some lucky bounces we'd be further behind.

Sticking with my pre-match. Pies to get a match winning lead, Blues to pull it back, then win with momentum.

IMO Speed kills Collingwood.

I would have thought Betts to be a stand out given what's required, but I guess he'll adjust.
But I can't help of thinking about the value of Armfield's closing speed in a game like this.

There's a few of our midfielders who went a bit quiet there.
I reckon that was their dominance in and under. Say no more.

Is our in and under Curnow Walker Fitzwilliam?????
We've only got one Garlett.

I reckon we have a lot to learn, and if we can gain a couple of goals on them this next quarter, anything can happen.

The only difference will come to 'High Altitude' training....because I can see we could beat these guys.
Let 'em show us their 'get out a gaol' carrd. It's only round 3.

Plenty of room for improvement to come with our midfield.
We just have to get our hands on that nut first like we did in the 1st Qtr.

We can win this.

Exactly!

I see the effort and heart - just a bit down on class, belief and strength.

Also love Chris Yarran's game so far.

Go Blues!

We'll find out a lot about our boys in this second half.

Will we capitulate or galvanise and give them all they can handle?

I sure hope it is the latter!

Brilliant. 90% of Footy is 1/2 mental. If we had their self belief - we would be in front now.

Bless CY, didnt trade him and kept him on the ground.

What's happened to Watson taking a kick-in?
He did it well last week, but I haven't seen him have a go once tonight.
A couple of times a long kick up the middle was on.

they just squeezed the life out of us a bit, we scrapped pretty hard but are getting smashed in the middle.

the ball is in our D50 70% of the time.

watto needs to play on and kick it 70 at every chance.

us slowing the ball down plays into there hands but playing on is so risky if you dont work hard enough into space for your team mates.

these guys spread harder than we do

With the intensity we are playing tonite any other team we would have beaten comfortably they are good Collingwood and disciplined we just need to keep intensity and run and hope that we can put a stop on the pies

Also i worry that the intensity of the game will make us flat against the bombers next week

As long as we loose by less then 5 goals I am fine. I have a feeling that their style will cost them later in the season. At this stage it is far more important to win against Bummers and Crows (to reach top 4).
