It's a good advert and all but not even close to the sheer impact the "They know we're coming" campaign had.

THIS.

I don't love it, I don't hate it... It's a bit of a nothing campaign.

Actions are louder than words so not fussed what the slogan is.

Yeah, we dont care what the slogan says. We dont care if Yarran comes last in the time trial.
We just dont care.
If you set low or zero standards for yourself, at least it's easy to achieve them I suppose.

The two are different.

The slogan, however good/bad it is, is not going to make us perform any better/worse on the field, which is surely what footy is all about. This is why I don't understand why so many people (not just Carlton supporters) get worked up over the wording of a slogan.

Yarran running last in a time trial is a cause for concern, as it says that his fitness is not great in a relative sense, which is likely to have an effect on his own, as well as the club's, on-field performances.

Yarran coming last only means something if you have past performances to compare it to. You need to understand where he is at in his physical development or what he may have had done or not done in the off season.

Would you be happy if he came last and took a large chunk of his PB for the park. It's all relative and those that beat up on players and or staff without the facts are just sad sack, bottom lip droppers of the finest order.

It seems that you've misunderstood the point of my post. My post was not meant to be an attack on Yarran, so I'm sorry if you interpreted it that way. Yarran just happened to be the player that BV mentioned in his post - it could have been anyone. I realise that there are many variables at play with players. For what it's worth, and not that I have to justify myself to you, I am actually a big Yarran fan and reckon he'll become a very good player.

The point of my post was that a slogan, whatever its contents, will not win or lose us games of footy. Accepting that winning games of footy is what it's all about, it ultimately doesn't really matter what the slogan is, as the slogan won't affect a team's results in a given season.

On the other hand, a player's performances are a cause for concern, as these will have a direct impact on how a team will perform, be it well or poorly. We therefore should be more concerned with Yarran or any player's on-field attitude/skills etc. as these are the things that will affect how many wins/losses we have.

How could you forget Collingwood's "We're beautiful" from 2 years ago?? Stroke of genius that one!!

Don't be sorry 2005............ your opinion is valid and your entitled to it.

Cazz.......... your one of the most negative posters on here yet your blind-sighted to it and accuse everybody else of doing exactly what you do!

2005 came on here (as he has a right to do) and posted his opinion (as he has a right to do)!

What gives you the right to think you a better than anybody else on this forum?

In the past, you have attacked me on numerous occasions, just because i have an opinion. And for you to just jump at Blues_2005 and call him a sad sack is immature and childish................. well mate, it's bordering on bullying!

Take a good hard look at yourself mate!

I don't give a stuff what position you hold at the club. Blues_2005 has as much right to post his opinions on here as you do........

Now. Back onto the topic. I reckon this is our best slogan yet! I love it! No More Passengers. That includes us all.
- Players
- Coaching Staff
- Board Members
- Even Fans.

Either get on board...............or hop off!

GO BLUES!

She was born on 25/9... The Drawn Grand Final day... Perfectly timed birth too, just in time for me to catch the last quarter of the game lol...
Was scared the Filth were going to wreck my day, but thank God they saved their best for the following week...

PS. Why is 2005 entitled to an opinion and yet you're not happy when I have an opinion about his opinion?
