Every Carlton fan should be given a copy of that sign to hold up as they walk into the ground.....there must be a Carlton friendly printing firm in WA who can make it happen......

If our players step up and help protect their captain then we should win.

Would prefer not to have to play them for a 3rd time thus season... Hopefully we can somehow manage to get a home final against the swans

When Harvey was asked to elaborate on what he meant by Carlton underestimating them last time. His pathetic response was "well we beat them last time, at their stadium." Just because a team beats another team, especially by as little as 9 points, it hardly means that the other team underestimated their opponents. Afterall it wasn't as if Freo hadn't won a game and we rested players. They were sitting 4th and we were 6th.

Harvey on 6PR said this morning .
8-10 changes.
Sandi a definite.
Ballantyne a maybe (trained but non committal)
The guys who went to Tassie and got bum rooted to the tune of 20 goals had learned a valuable lesson. Usual pap, "they need to aware of where they are as footballers blah , blah" " work ethic blah blah"

I would have thought the only lesson was "you're coach thinks your hacks" but thats just me.

Urged ALL WA Footy supporters to go to Subi , including WCE supporters, to let Carlton know this is our ground.

Then he said something weird (or weirder) he said " People to should go to the Family Theme Park called Subiaco Oval on Friday night and witness "street footy".

I and the radio guys took it to mean the Dorks are going to be aggressive and physical. Harvey would not elaborate.

He's is under the pump big time.

Well that is interesting.
So..we could beat them, and have the added bonus of seeing them lose 8-10 of their best to reports that result in all missing the finals?
Justice. :lol:
ps. Will Juddy get the cover he needs this time?
Hopefully the umps will have to keep an eye on his opponents as well.

You'd hope that the Umps will be true to form and be made aware of the "street footy " reference and award us at least 10 undeserved free kicks and 6 x 50m penalties that result in direct goals.

It's only fair.

Why does Ratts love AJ so much? He has looked very much rookie class this year, has fumbled under pressure, and despite his tough rep does have a little look around on occasions, which for a battling player usually means you get caught, and most damning, he has shown dreadful discipline about 5 times this year, giving away off the ball/ dead ball frees and apparently the coach requires him to take little responsibility for those actions even when they have been repeated over several games. I'd pick Walker ahead of him every time, much more versatility. AW and TBird have paid the price, along with various others, but AJ can be utterly flogged, not go hard enough, and give away several off the ball frees ag Nth with no penalty, and then can repeat those actions in subsequent games, yet remains a walk up start. I guess very coach has their favourites.

I'd be concerned about the Dockers height up forward if Pav and Sandilands are up there. Particularly if Walker, who can take a taller player, is out and Bower is out of form.

Much will depend on how fit Sandilands is. This is our most important game for a decade. There is a home final for the taking and if things fall our way we can win that and then get the down and out dogs with a prelim beckoning - maybe I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. But I am expecting a win against a team that has been very ordinary for the last two months.

Get it right Blues, get the selection right, get the tactics right, get the heads right.

To play the Doggies or the Pies (how delicious if the Doggies managed to get up) we need to finish 5th or 8th and win in week 1 of the finals.

Good post Gerry. Re AJ, me thinks its just the Ballantyne factor.

Really expecting a win, things have changed radically since the last time we played them.

- No Barlow (BOG and 30 possies V us last time and kicked 4 goals. We had more scoring shots last time , lost by only 9 pts and Kreuzer went down in 1 st qtr). Their form has gone south post Barlow injury, very obvious;

- Won our last 3 at Subi, including Dockers last year. Love the support from the local Blues, too;
- Our form is reasonable, good enough to beat a struggling Dockers outfit;
- Warnock in good nick, can help neutralize the Sandilands factor; and
- No Murphy last time we played, late withdrawal. Coupled with their Barlow loss, that's a hell of a turnaround in the guts since the Etihad game. :thumbsup:

It's there for the taking Blues, just get the job done!

How much fun would it be to see Betts on Sandilands.
The Liliputlian could tie him up before he even noticed him.
Further on the height thing....as far as Ratts and AJ....
two words.
Randy Newman...
these people must stick together.

Not to mention we had Bret Thornton at the centre bounces at certain stages!

I do hope that they are keeping an eye on McFlee as last game he went too far in playing the man the whole time. Fair enough to be a hard tag but you still have to play football.

Harvey is trying to intimidate us ... the ol' scum mentality about us being soft ... put him back in his box tomorrow baggers ... please! I hate this prick and where he came from. :mad:

ps ... lets see if the umpires are willing to pay free kicks against the instigators like they did when we got sucked in against Kangaroos & Harvey. :roll:
