Carrazzo actually presents as the best solution despite his steadily improving disposal over the last fortnight.

At a gamble:

OUT: Carrazzo, Davies
IN: Walker, Thornton

We need insurance against the resting ruck.

Has Carrazzo really been so bad? I mean really, i recon he's become the new whipping boy just because thorntons out and Russell's improved.

I recon he's been pretty solid this year, yes i do notice him stop starting a bit and some errant kicks, but he's done some nice defensive jobs, is pretty good in contested situations and linking up with handballs and he's a pretty good kick for goal too. Not to mention he seems to bring some leadership and energy. Despite what you guys say on here its pretty clear he's not gonna be dropped anytime soon...

For all of the above reasons, he'd be one of the first picked each week.

It always amuses me when people predict that he'll be dropped.

You'd be right if that were true.

He's been rubbish in contested situations, slowed down a lot of ball movement and has only just got his kicking remotely on track after an awful patch of disposal (6 or 7 weeks). His defensive work outside of a defensive forward role has been poor. He lacks the strength to shut down the opposition bloke who gets first possession and has cost us games when in this role.

His handballs, like so many others in the navy blue at present, have been hap hazard at best. He has the potential to be one of the first picked, but believes his ability to present for the ball demands he should be played in an offensive role.

He has definitely been better the last fortnight against meagre opposition, but no one else has really been tried in any role he's been given on game day. They give him a job and leave him with it.

I'm guessing there will be no changes to the selected side.

But then there'll be 2 late changes and Hammer and Joseph will go out, and Sauce and Walker will come in.

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurely he isn't doing any running. One would think that's bringing the boy back to early!

Although, I'm not a medico

I love how people want Carrots dropped due to his below par disposal and want to replace him with of all people Walker. Sure Walker gives dash but I dont want him coming out of defence with the pressure that Geelong applies and he has refused to lay a tackle all year, I sense because he is scared to hurt his shoulders again. Unless we want to play him as a HFF or FP...leave him out. And yes I have seen him in the Bull ants for the last few weeks.

I was at training this morning (Report over @TalkingTraining) and Thornton wasn't there. As far as I'm concerned, what I saw of Hampson and Joseph - there's no way they'll come up by tomorrow arvo. Jacobs and Walker to come in...both trained really well...Setanta was around the goal square for much of the drills...for one he was clearly a dummy and would lead hard wide while Bell, Biv, Devoe sprinted forward to get the ball kicked over the top...surprised Yarran wasn't one of the emerg's actually...looked pretty sharp this morning.
