SB that's not exactly true. Both Warnock and Hampson have had a solid month in the VFL and their past 2 games have been very solid. White has only been back for 1 VFL game after 3 or 4 weeks off with a knee strain.

Supporters want to bring Grigg in because he has been playing well in the VFL. Warnock and Hampson are no different. Hampson in particular has been marking very well and he could really cause the Lions some problems with his athletic abilit up forward. He just has to go at every opportunity like he really means it. He needs to knock a few defenders over and show them he means business. I want Hammer to think this is the game, whereby from here on in he is never out of this team.

Our side is good enough to win. It is all about intensity and taking some risks early to run and carry the ball. Any player who stops and props early in the game needs to be dragged. I don't care if we come unstuck a few times, just as long as we are running flat out every time we get the footy. And at the 1st contest if I don't see a Carlton player crash at the ball in Kamikaze style with fire in his eyes I am going to be really peeved.

I don't want to see another sad effort like in previous weeks where the Carlton player sits back to maybe lay the tackle rather than go at the ball full tilt and make physical contact. We need to set the bench mark from the 1st off.

Regards Cazzesman

Hope your right about the three of them because to be honest I'm growing tired of this losing shit

Last 4-5 weeks has not been very attractive stuff to watch at all

If Hammer is in better get him a can of "Grip and Stick"

Vossy might want to revoke this free license after he sees the penalty just handed out to Baker

Agree SB. The AFL need to make a statement against the guys that deliberately use tactics like these. Nothing against taggers who play within the rules but these tactics are above and beyond!

Santy may not play and all three talls might....

Murphy in and Robbo a chance....

I for one will be wrapped if we go in with the three big guys.Unbalanced ? Yes,but so what ! we have had perfectly balanced sides the last couple of weeks and has had jackshit effect.Size balance means bugger all if you attitude and aggression aint balanced...............and for that matter,if its worth trying Kruezer at CHF,its worth trying Hampson at CHF...............and while im on a roll,Hampson and Warnock have been playing excellent footy in the magoos.................and whats more,Warnock should never have been dropped in the first place. He was improving every week.Slowly i will admit, but he was gradually getting better. And whats more, his second efforts when the ball hit the deck was terrific. All you doubters get off his back and give him a fair go.

Just a comment about something Walls said last week about Warnock v Hammer...

He said something to the effect of "They need to play Warnock because of what they gave up for him" :sly:

I might have misunderstood him but I've heard other people say similar things in the context of Warnock.

I think where a player was selected in the draft or what we gave up in a trade (or even what he's being paid) should be irrelevant at the selection table. I always thought it was about form and team balance...? :screwy:

And anyway, we gave up #24 & #56 for Warnock, and Hammer was taken at #17 - so I don't think there's a massive difference in what we gave up for each

Why the !@#$%& are we playing on a Thursday night in the middle of winter?

Voss says:

I'm sure the fact we have been scheduled to play on Thursday night has something to do with one person in particular (Fevola) and I can certainly understand that other people will have a fair bit of interest in the contest.

A bit worried about the players reaction to Voss' comments. Carlton players are under the microscope for not protecting Judd and Voss is saying that they are going to target him with everything they've got. Hopefully they don't go outside of the rules in attempting to protect him...

It could go either way. The umps will finally start taking note of dirty tagging tactics and will ping whoever is on Judd...or they'll continue to turn a blind eye and we'll give away 100 free kicks in protecting Judd (Assuming that we bother to do so).

I think you will find Voss is all words. Think about, what does it mean when Voss says his players will throw everything at Judd? It's all just games. Of course they will tag him and try to upset him but its what other teams do every week. Voss is just saying that because he knows there has been talk that we don't protect him and he wants to create a bit of pressure within our group. I think you will find come game day most players will be more interested in getting the ball rather than 'throw everything at Judd'.

Jonathon Brown will likely be a late inclusion and then proceed to kick 10 goals against us, what else is new?

For the first time this season we probably won't need to fly the flag for Juddy, as the Umps will be on high alert

Lets just attack the pill and play the corridor.

Failed fitness test. Makes all the promos for this game redundant!

With Brown and Fev gone we have no excuse ..... apart from playing on a Thursday....
