Good news a step in the right direction.

But for F...***%%ks sake do you we only blame the coach?

What about the MC? What about recruiting?

Mate, huge questions about Stephen Kernahan?

Tell me why that our players aren't having a go, showing heart, showing

pride for wearing the NAVY BlUE jumper.

Bloody hell, talk about lack of leadership? Never has been any this year

on the field. And only lately there has been some off the field.

I just hope that this time next year are making some positive inroads.

We are bloody rabble and it shouldn't be just denis pagan that is given

the arse!!! Alot of senior players can also be shown the door!!!

Please don't! :)

Not that anyone would ever seriously consider it, but just in case you were considering posting someone's phone number (or other personal details) on the site it would invlove a permanant ban from TC.

Thank you linesmen, thank you ball boys.

Good call nightcrawler, credit where credit is due but you might be a few hours out. But I reckon you have won the chocolates :)

Well I don't mind being a few hours out. My original rationale was that they would give themselves Monday to think about it and schedule the board meeting for Tuesday night with an annoucement on the wednesday morning. But as Ryan2000 has already said, it really shouldn't take them 3 days to come to a decision after that debacle.

I doubt whether he would even attend a press conference.

Once he is gone, the last and probably the most painful stage of Carltons rebirth will be over.

As tempting as it might be, dont bag Denis too much, because you will find that he has put in place the building blocks of our new side, and deserves crdit for this. But because he is an old style coach - has lost the players.

In Pagan's time at the club...

Elliott - held accountable
Smorgon - held accountable
Malouf - held accountable
The board - held accountable
The players - held accountable (see the several cullings each off-season)
Assistant coaches - held accountable
Pagan - ???

The decision has to be made tonight, surely.

Many of those that have gone before Pagan also did their best and had the best interests of the club at heart. But their time was up and history has proven the decisions made above were correct.

If we're not told tonight, then I reckon we'll know by midday tomorrow.

Fully agree with your list Camelboy:

And I am all for a Pagan sacking by the way. But the question has to be asked... when it happens, what is our next trick to try and turn around the fortunes of this Club? It seems that after removing DP we have tried everything humanly possible.

When Pagan's demise is announced tonight or at the end of the year or whenever it happens, Sticks' resignation on the MC should be demanded and received.

His resignation from the Board should also be considered in the best interests of the club.

He has given it his best shot, let the new ones take us into the future.

Won't happen.
Swan and Icke will make all the decisions they need to make. Sticks' influence will be that of a standard board member. The club dsent need to humiliate a favourite son

Its time sticks is held accountable for his poor decisions since he has been on the match committee and board.
One can only think that Mitchell has remained coach of the bullants due to his influence and power. It has to be the most farcical situation ever at a club. Not even clubs in the Diamond Valley would let that happen.

Correct, he did a terrible job getting Dick Pratt over didn't he? Oh, and I am sure if he is doing a terrible job Pratt would stand for it........standard board member sounds good - about time he had support around such as Swann & Icke.

Granted Sticks is a favourite son and should not be humiliated.

My comments, were in relation to internal Board discussions and decisions and not for public consumption.

As far as I can see, he has always worked in the best interests of the Club and his and Big Jack's (for that matter) efforts got Pratt back et al.

But my point stands, his time is over, he belongs to our illustrious past.

If Jack got Pratt back then he would be bragging about it - he isn't - he didn't
